Sliders - Textures

I picked up a set of Revenge Fab Sliders from the group buy. I was wondering whats best for a texture. I know I want black. But if I just paint them will they be slippery? I heard some people bedliner them. How much do they cost to rhino/bedliner them at a shop and done by yourself?

Mine will be arriving shortly and I just want to be prepared as to how Im going to approach this. Thanks

 

i would say bedliner with DIY bedliner... getting the expensive shit on something that is supposed to get scratched up seems like a waste

you could also paint them black and put that black traction tape on the top

 

Well, since you have a prerunner, I doubt that they'll actually be against any rocks so using some bedliner would be a tough finish. I'd imagine Rhino lining or line-x-ing them would be pretty costly. The roll on liner would probably about a hundred bucks for the materials and then theres the spray on stuff; dont know how much it costs. I bought some black Rustoleum hammered finish spray paint that i'm going to spray on my sliders on wednesday when I get them finished. They should be welded on my truck by the weekend.

I got a little behind on them; my fab. teacher cancelled class today so I couldn't get them painted. I should have at least one side of my sliders painted and welded on the truck on monday though so I'll post pics then.

lol. ive had mine for a while. Just havent had time. Im going to go buy paint today and paint them tomorrow. I just dont know what type of paint to get

 

I put clear gravel guard on mine, over the paint.. gives a good grip

 

whats that? does it come in a spray can?

 

I had some of that shit on my jeep, always had the doors off and almost everytime scratched up my legs. Then once I got used to it, I picked up this fine ass chickee-poo@ the club knew I was in for a good night she went to get in scraped her legs sobered up and called her friends to get her. Thats all it took, that shit was gone the next day.

I used Duplicolor black primer and they are going to get coated with satin black and then some non-slip tape I think....

The paint isn't as slick as you might think...And we've had a ton of rain down here for me to test them out...

My last truck had Rhino lining over the entire bed. I bust my ass on it more than once due it being very slick in the rain. Just something to think about.
