Removing badges

I wanted to remove my tacoma bages to paint them black. I was just wondering what would be the easiest way to take them off without dameging them. Also is this even possibe i know some bages once you remove them they can not be put back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

heat them up with either a heat gun or a hair dryer, and use some fishing line behind them to get them off. then use goo gone to remove whats left of the old glue.

plenty of people have removed the badges from these trucks with no problems. some 3m double sided "55 mph tape" will work to put them back on!!
