I just received my Techstream mini cd and cable today. It installed fine in XP Pro 32 bit. I hooked it up to my truck and it saw it as a 2005 Tacoma but have not had time to test it out fully. I will hook it back up tomorrow and start exploring the features. I searched and found the other thread on it but I was thinking it might be nice to have a sticky where everyone can tell about the functions they used and how they found and implemented them. I bought the cd and cable off of ebay for less than $30.00. I read over at the Tundra forum a lot of things people were setting and disabling and it seemed to work well for everyone except Windows 7 64 bit. As long as they ran a virtual xp 32 bit session it was ok. Here is a link to the one I bought. And read the txt and pdf files before installation for an easy install.

The cable is a cheap clone of the cable used by the dealer, and my understanding is that the software is a cracked version.

Due to occasional comm dropouts, you do not want to attempt a reflash with the cable or it could smoke the ECU... the software won't communicate with Toyota to get the latest flash revision anyways.

I bought this when I had my tundra...thanks to tundrasolutions, when I tried it on my taco, there was only 2 things I could change, the seat belt ding and some other stupid thing, I don't remember what it was. Pretty much useless on a tacoma. I don't know if it will get more features with techstream updates. But I do know when I took my truck to the dealer I stood next to the tech when he hooked his techstream up and got the same results. I was there trying to get the doors to lock when I take the truck out of park. I was able to do it on my tundra, but not the tacoma.
