'09 taco

I got it last week and have 1000 miles on it. Access cab V6, 6 spd manual, 4wd, trd sport, trailer tow etc. Awesome truck this is the truck I have been looking for a long time. Thinking about eventually getting a camper shell put on...any suggestions for the best quality cap for the truck? How would it attach with the plastic bed?

 

I researched this a long time and finally purchased an ARE Z series cap. Leer quality and spare parts service is crap. A large dealer around here has dropped the line because of support issues. The ARE top is sleek , streamlined, stylish and is just very well built. I'll snap a pix if you want.

 

That would be great to see some shots of the install and the overall of your truck with the cap on. Thanks! My dearly beloved 2000 model tacoma reg cab had a locally made cap on it and it was real handy for protecting my surfboards and fishing gear etc. and when camping. I am planning on this being my last truck so want a good quality cap to put on it.

That is a pretty sharp looking camper shell. I will look into those when I get closer to an actual purchase. Thanks.

 

It was around $1800 with all the options I added. Base price was comparable to any other quality cap.
