Just a 'whats up' from a soon to be Taco owner. I'm leaving the Marines soon after 8 years and am about to fly to California to pick up a 2003 Tacoma TRD with the locking diff and all the goodies (V6, 5spd, etc). It's a blistering shade of red and looks to be in great condition. 103k on it, the seller is a older Marine vet so I'm getting it for a grand total of 11 grand.

Gonna buy it, prep it, spend a few days with family, then drive that sucker straight back to NY. I figure that'll be a good bonding period between me and the truck. I'll be selling my supercharged chevy cobalt soon thereafter. While I love the little car, it just isn't ideal for my hobbies anymore. I recently fell in love with snowboarding, and yeah.. supercharged fwd lowered car doesn't do too well in the snowy mountains. I was a member of a cobalt forum so the vehicle 'following' scene isn't foreign to me, glad I found a new place online to call home.

I've always loved the way Taco's look, I was never really into the bigger trucks, but the style and utility of the Tacoma's always appealed to me, I'm glad I finally will have one of my own.

    So yeah, Hi. =)

=3 I looked and looked and couldn't find a better deal anywhere, maybe you just got lucky :) Either way, I'll just about break even on the truck after selling the car, so it's more like a lateral move anyway lol.

Incidentally, the car bluebooked at something a little over 14k, so I dunno. Thanks though!
