    No. You want it to be at that 1/4" when its already stretched. It can take a little bit of playing with to get just right. You want to tighten the limit strap until its sitting at 1/4" with all of the weight on it. Honestly I would throw the wheel on too if you can. Remember that extra weight in addtion the suspension having speed from travel is going to stretch the straps a little more when in actual use

It has more stuff done to it now.
    any advice on how to get in there to tighten it? there is hardly any room to begin with without the wheel on.

    X2. Leave the truck on the ground when your tightening/loosening and then just lift it to check the uniball distance from the cup. You do have clevis' right? Just loosen the jamb nut and as long as the strap has slack you can adjust by hand. Keep the jamb nut loose until your done adjusting
