What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

nice! where you ski at? i’m trying to get a good amount of money together and come up to western NY this winter.

235/85/16 Canadian tire wrangler territories. Price was right and they look much better than stock sizing.

 

Looks sharp man... I love the look of the colormatched inner frame.

 

Done with both of my diffs and T-case. My truck has a little over 105,000 miles on it.
The 2 diffs oil came out BLACK and my T-case came out the color of coffie. But all new oil in and the old skid plate back on.

 

I got me some tahrs!!





I really need to get rid of those mud flaps. Any tips on removal?

*EDIT*. Found a thread and took them off, super easy. They gone! Too dark for pics.

thanx Rich. I took a chance and had it made with a silver inner, figured I could paint it if I didn't like it. I think it looks right tho.

Got mine all washed up and cleaned out. Looking sharp now too.

 

Ahh.. I thought the lighter color was reflection.

Either way... black looks nice, but the Satoshi is a design that brings back the "deep dish" look of the Cobra and Jag.
Colormatching the inside gives more depth and sets it apart from the Street Scenes.

 

Bought a used gray homelink off ebay and installed it in the headliner. Thought it wasn't going to snap together for a minute there!

 

u have a 2013'... why not just swap to the factory upgraded mirror for homelink and you'll get the backup camera display, plus auto-dimming too

 

Did the hose clamp tailgate theft deterrent mod. Before installing, I slipped a piece of heat shrink over the clamp to protect paint from scratches.

 

installed the firestone ride rites. will get the wireless air kit sometime in the next few months.
also did the diff breather mod a day or two ago.



and almost got done w/ wiring up the 7-way. just need to add the +12v wire, and hook up the brake and reverse wires.
used a trailer wire junction box. will make it easy to add the headache rack wiring when i finish that next month.
need to cut the tip off that bed bolt, its a little close to the wire loom.

 

... ^^^ ... Nice job ... I thought about installing those instead of having the "rear spring TSB" done. No "rear spring TSB" on the 2012 yet.

There wasn't a homelink option for 2013 that I am aware of. My mirror already has the backup camera and auto dimming. This cost me $25 and 30 minutes, well worth it IMO.

 

I want to put a homelink into the console lid that is used for the garage door opener. Will be a winter project for me. I already have a few spare homelink assenblies for JY cars.
