I know what ya mean...same with fake non funtional hood scoops. Pure junk if you ask me. Never understood why anyone would want one their truck. Now of coarse these are just our opinions... others may vary.

disclaimer: The above was an example meant to show that we all have different opinions. Some people like the look of bull bars/light bars, some like fake hood scoops, some like different looking grills... doesn't mean we have to bash each other over it. We all love our trucks and have our own way of making them our own... sometimes money gets in the way of how extreme we can go with it. If you have something bad to say about other members or their trucks sometimes it's best just to keep it to yourself... have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

Looks like you could have spent a little more time on the design before you boogered something together like that.

I never implied that they didn't prevent damage. Id rather be on the giving end of a well designed bull bar than the receiving end of one. Why waste time and money on something that won't least deliver a punch in a head on impact.

i spent 3 months on the concept before i was happy with the design. the guy who made my bar fabricates for a living. he took a drawing that i had on paper and made it into reality.... a design that i am very proud of and have got a lot of compliments on by other truck owners and enthusiasts, and many non truck owners and enthusiasts.

he made the bottom half out of 1 7/8" outside diameter steel and the top half in 1 1/2" steel. bolted to the bumper mount on the frame. it is sturdy as hell, a guy who weights about 235 lbs stood on it, no problems. he told me after he made it that i'll be able to hit a deer and be fine.... for about the same price as a shittybuilt bull bar, and its a one of a kind bar.

I hit a deer last week, cracked the front bumper cover. Gonna get an ARB bumper & just mount all my lights on it.

Had a bull bar on the truck when I bought and hated it. I just wanted more lights so went with a N-fab bar. Neither one will prevent front end damage unless you go with aftermarket steel bumper.

Definitely different. The only problem I see is the 45 degree angles coming from underneath the truck. Those will probably give first pushing the rest into the truck.

It's a fine bar, a mighty fine bar. As long as he's happy with it that's all that matters.
