After looking at the Ebay listing I found the Burco site as well and did the same confirmation of part numbers as was previously mentioned. Then I went searching for OEM Toyota parts, and found lots of dealerships with online parts fiche style ordering right up to 2013. The two or three I checked had genuine OE 2012 Highlander mirror glass with or without heat. The heated glass was $45-48 for each side plus about $10 for shipping, so on par with what I had paid for the (incompatible) Sienna heated glass. I don't know anything about Burco, but you can have OE for the same price. This is likely the route I will go. None of the sites displayed a Toyota part number even after adding the mirrors to the shopping cart, so no helpful info there. I'm sure someone will ferret out that info before I receive my mirrors. I'll be curious to see if the carrier plate is the same as the Taco or not. Would be nice to eliminate the step of peeling the backer off the glass X 4.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
The Highlander Mirror part #s are:

    Driver's Side: 87961-0E070
    Passenger Side: 87931-0E080

It's always hard to track down OEM part #s online. I usually go to www.oemtoyotascionparts.com, and they list them. I don't know if they have every part out there, but all the ones I've looked up.

You are correct and incorrect at the same time. The numbers you posted are the heated version for the Highlander Limited. The numbers for the Highlander base non heated are the same as the non heated version for the tacoma.
    They are:
    Drivers : 87961-0E060
    Passenger: 87931-0E070
This should indicate that either will clip in to save time dismanteling. I'm hoping for the best.
Size demensions at the Burco site indicate they are the same in that regard where the Sienna glass is a 1/16" different.

I appreciate your input, but I really don't see what I'm incorrect about :notsure:

I didn't see the point in posting the non-heated part #, since it's not really relevant. Furthermore, even if the part #s match with the Taco, I wouldn't be too hasty to assume the back-plate on the heated version is the same without checking it out first. The design may be different to accommodate the terminal posts, but again, once someone actually installs the Highlander mirrors, we will know for sure.

Ok, Sorry if I offended you. What I am saying is if the part numbers are the same for both vehicles non heated, then one can conclude that the heated part should have the same clip as the non heated version. I have ordered these and will keep you posted when they come in as to fit. Thanks for the link to OEMparts. Very helpful.

That would be sweet if they are the same, it would make for a much easier/cleaner install. Let us know what you find when you get them.

Started my heated mirror install tonight :D

I'm using the motorcycle grip heaters though and the Tacoma glass. So far so good, one down, one to go, then it's on to wiring.

I got all the items (switch & terminals, etc.) coming in for the OEM heated mirrors.

My wife has a '12 Highlander and traced her mirrors to see if they match my '12 Taco... the glass outline matches perfectly unlike some claims of the Sienna glass.

I found a website that that sells OEM parts http://www.toyotapart.com/

    $49 for each heated pane.
Toyota part # 87931-0e080 RH Mirror, #87961-0e070 LH Mirror.

    http://www.toyotapart.com/87931-0E080.html (RH)
    http://www.toyotapart.com/87961-0E070.html (LH)

... BTW, my local dealer charges $83.33 each. As soon as these arrive from Toyotapart.com, I'll have this most useful mod completed and behind me.

Benson, CtryBoy, Tsilliker, Shawnd2, 84 Hilux and OldEric11......... thank you for your work :D

I did the motorcycle grip heaters and am pretty happy. The full mirror defrost would be a little nicer but not worth the extra $100, at least not for me.

The mirrors were easier than I thought, the wiring is simple but a PITA to run.

I screwed them up... I'm now looking for Sienna mirrors. The paper crap stuck to the back of the mirrors and I couldn't get it off without ruining the mirror. I tried twice and screwed up both times. The front of the mirrors now look like they're either scratched to hell of hazed because of the method I used to remove the paper. Not overly happy with the results, I'll be going with Sienna mirrors shortly.

Mike, Druzuki says in a few posts back that he can't use his Sienna mirrors for his '12

... I see a solution to his and your problem. :D

FYI, they're gone - I picked them up off of him this week and I'm going to have a go at this when they arrive.

By this weekend with any luck! I've had to scrape the frost from my mirrors every morning this week, and it's only going to get worse in a hurry...

    Cheers,
    Marc

I don't have a 2012, I have a 2007. I'm going after a set of Sienna mirrors. You can get the glass through Camelback Toyota for $46/ea, shipped to your door. I'm trying to find a better price now.

Just a heads up, I have a spare set of the OEM Mirror glass for 05-11 if anyone needs it.

I just removed my wife's mirror from her '12 Highlander and the mirror from my '12 Taco.... They both fit one another!

That being said, the '12+ Taco owners can save a step from having to remove the backing plate/foam adhesive, the are the very same plates (holding clips and outlines).
