Might be cheaper to buy a couple offset rails and a set of Magpuls. Lots of companies sell short offset rails for lights.

The buffer in my REPR is tiny and weighs about the same as an H3, it is marked R2 and I believe it is unique to the REPR. Here is a picture of it

Just trying to help you get his stuff straight. I hope he understands it takes more than just putting this here and that there to keep these things running. Buffers are $30 on LWRCI's webstore.

I appreciate the input. It sure doesn't help that he went with an oddball stock like the UBR that doesn't use a rifle or a car buffer tube.

UBR equipped REPRs will use the same buffer and spring as the carbine equipped REPRs. The 18" REPRs come with UBRs from the factory. I will ask one of my friends what buffer is in his just to make sure.

My suspicions are correct, the buffer I posted is the correct one for the UBR. Anything longer and you are going to have short stroking issues.

The R2 is an H2 carbine buffer.

Actually, if you put a rifle buffer in a carbine, and successfully get it to detent, it won't cycle. :)

Alas, I HAD a Colt AR-15 A2 H-Bar, harris bi-pod, laser sight and scope for years...Bought it new..in plastic. But when my wife bought me a MAK 90 with milled receiver...well it was another world. This thing is as reliable as my glock. This reminds me..I need to get an "Easy Rider Rifle Rack" for my trk.

Look at post 3648. I responded to you.

Which buffer is it so I can correct the issue. And thanks for checking on that.

Hey guys I can get a brand new Sig M400 enhanced with magpul furniture for $900 out the door. I already have an AR but was thinking about getting this one and selling one of them. Is it worth the hassle? What is the "street" value of the M400?

The R2 is physically about an inch shorter.

Yea, unnecessarily. There's enough room in a carbine length tube (what the UBR is) to fit a carbine buffer.

    Promise :)

Yes but we are talking about an AR10 type rifle with a MASSIVE BCG with all kinds of anti tilt crap on the end of it so it takes up much more room in a standard length carbine tube. The difference in size between the REPR BCG and a standard 5.56 BCG is about an inch in length.

x2 my first AR was a DPMS, I was younger and didnt know the first thing about them. I hated that thing, although I still have it. Then I went into a gun shop and the owner used to be a Marine sniper and he introduced me to LMT. When I finally got the money that is what I got and I havent looked back. My brother got a BCM and the to are apples and oranges. LMT just makes a top of the line weapon. I put on an AimPoint Comp M4 with 3X magnifier and can keep my grouping in the 3"-4" range out to 400-500 meters. Totally worth it IMO.

What part failed on the ACOGs? And 3" Groups at 600 Meters? With what? Not an AR. Definitely not an LMT. Hmmmmm......
