Went to the dealer to get an oil change and they tried to get me to do a fuel system flush for like 175 normally I would blow them off which I did but after leaving I got to thinking about it and since I can't get more than 200 miles to a tank I figured what the hell... Has anyone has this done?

 

I haven't. I usually put some additive with gas.

I'm waiting for mine right now at boerne toyota. Getting 2 recalls done.

 

I do all of that too including the throttle body and maf cleaning but I'm thinking about just taking the risk and seeing what happens

 

I hate to ask this but how's your tire pressure? Air filter? When was the last time you changed the spark plugs?

Sorry man, I don't mean to poke at ya, but I had a buddy who never bothered to check his intake filter (after market) and when we did open his hood it was caked with dust/road grime.

 

The tire pressure and air filter are good.. I changed the spark plugs during the summer time so those should be ok.. Even then it didn't help much.. A lot of ppl say its cause of lift and tires but I doubt it makes that big of a difference

 

I do my maintenance myself. You can eat thanksgiving dinner off my engine
Tires make a big difference . My mpg suffered just by going with tire choice,but that's to be expected.

Im barely getting 240 a tank...and im getting terrible vibrations now when on the gas...i have no idea what it is cause when i let off the gas its smooth, then like 15% on the pedal the whole damn truck is shaking and vibrating
But if i floor and go through the gears its smooth
@60 it still vibrates like crazy but when i hit 80 its like im on a damn cloud, im really confused on what it could be, im too the point where i dont even wanna drive it

Idk. Tires,wheel bearings,ball joints,u joints?

 

Best thing to do is service the injectors and change out the fuel filter.

Im thinkin it could be the wheel bearings and maybe the u joint, i dont think its a u joint cause this was like one day it was normal the next day it was like shit

 

I had these exact same symptoms with my truck earlier this year. It was bad u joints. Check them thoroughly Nik.

 

i did too before i sold the truck it wasn't as bad as yours sounds but my bearings were in pieces and welded to the hubs. like Hudson said check it thoroughly

 

I was under the impresion that u can't change the fuel filter on a 2gen
