So my wife is in a rental at this time and the doors on this rental open really wide I POINTED THIS OUT TO HER. Well yesterday on Thanksgiving we are about to leave to go see the family and I look at my truck I have two HUGE door dings in my drivers side door from my wife opening the passenger side door of the rental. My beef with her is her lack of paying attention she was totally unaware she had done it.

Needless to say I had a meltdown. My wife said I was acting irrational its just a material object. Well apparently she does not understand we have been together 12 yeas so this is nothing new. The truck is not even 6 months old.

I was able to buff the marks out but the dings are of course still visible. Does any one have experience pushing dings out from the inside of the door?

The dent doctors and such outfits should be able to remove the ding if it's not on or near a corner.

Now, move your truck over 3" so she can't hit it!!! If you've been with her 12 years you shoulda seen that coming... :D

It's just a truck. No need to be pissed over it. Just ask her to pay more attention. Obviously you love her so you should just forgive her and get over it.

Check with any auto repair shop to fix it.

It hurts but you will get over it. My kids have done more damage to my vehicles than anyone else.

That sucks bro. If the dent crease is not too sharp, they can get it out.

I am with everyone who says its a truck, but its one thing to put the dings in yourself. I wear my damage like a badge of honor. But due to someone elses negligence it doesnt make it right whether its your wife or not.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
What about suction cups or the can of air trick. Not sure how bad your dings are, any pics?

I will post pics. I should have taken pictures before I buffed out the marks. They were dime size marks.

I'm a super spaz about door dings. I hate them and will try to prevent them at all costs. My wife does her best but let's say it's not a priority for her. With that said, I realize they will happen despite my efforts. Even worse when they are self inflicted. Hopefully they can be fixed easily, let her know what it costs maybe that will help. Good luck!

    Stock. Purchased 2/17/19. Cement!
Let's see what she says when you accidentally spill wine on her coach purse (total assumption). Annoying as those door dents are, more annoying that they come from your better half who should be helping you protect that truck instead of making it look like a 2006 Tacoma. You'll be alright. I've had door dents popped out already. Good as new as long as the paint is fine. :D Good luck man.

I tried to take pictures but since that area is freshly waxed and buffed it had nothing but a reflection in the picture.

I told her uncle what happened he said DO NOT send her the bill. lol
