you definitely need an acorn style lug nut, after seeing the wheels it's perfectly clear the ones with the washers will not work. the holes in the wheel are tapered. You need something like these-

Dave, dont do anything. We get probably 20 of these trucks a week from the buy back program (Sucks to see all these tacomas go by me everyday to get crushed). I'll see if I can take off the lug nuts you need for you. I'll let you know.

Dave do you have a pic up close of where the lug will go but without the lug in the shot to see the contact area. Is the contact area flat or beveled

I think I asked WAY BACK in this conversation IF they needed to be CLEANED up....:D

Leave it to you to find odd-ball Toyota wheels.....

OK, experience talking here....Do they even come close with the washers ??? If you take a small wire brush attached to a drill and clean up each hole will it work ??

When I mounted the '09 wheels it took more finesse because they are aligned by the lug nut more than my '02 wheels were....that is not your issue, correct???

I too hate "falling wheels" so after I mounted the '09's they were torqued and re-torqued after 1st 100 miles....then I checked everything again with the 1st rotation due to "New" wheel spacers PLUS newer wheels....

Good luck and PLEASE when you do find a working solution...have someone "Sticky" it so someone else does not have to live your he!!....

This is why I asked about the wheel to lug contact area does it need a beveled lug or does it need the flat washer with the lug protruding thru the wheel to center the wheel

This was the first time I ever went out on Black Friday. It was a pain in the ass, parking sucked, selection sucked, crowds sucked I won't be doing that again. I did pick up a Kodak wireless printer thanks to you guys as well as a dvd player and a bunch of home improvment stuff (we are doing a bathroom over)

I say that I wont do it again every year but with 3 kids I have to get deals when I can. I bought a 32" flat screen for the teenagers for $150, a Samsung tablet for $179, games, SD cards, Lego's and all kinds of other stuff at better prices than you ever see all year. My buddy went for the first time and got a 60" Smart TV for $688 and a Xbox bundle for under $200. You just can't beat some of those deals.
My wife works for walmart and most of the items we bought are below cost. It's a total pain in the ass but worth it to make for a nice christmas for the family.

Yup I went to Zekes custom wheels per many shops recommendations. And he saw the issue right away. Toyota doesn't sell the lug I need. Nor do many shops with packaged lugs in sets if 20 when I would need two packs and only need 4 from the pack lol. I paid $25. Now to get my money back.

Also may get new wheels after Xmas cuz the store made me DROOOOL
