I had my thanksgiving today at my cousins new house in Santa Rosa. Good times were had. Pondered all day about buying some blitzpro lights to test out instead of running Hella's behind my grille and I ended up getting the 21S and 15D just now. Hopefully the low price doesn't mean they're shitty.

Babytruck, stop picking on people. Good night everyone.

Hey he talks about how I was raised and here he is cussing in a thread and calling people animals because he has a burr up his butt and can't handle joking on the internet. Then he attacks me and how my parents raised me? Where did that come from? He clearly was absent the day they talked about reading comprehension 101. Because one day he's gonna be stressing over something he doesn't need to and he's gonna get his heart all up in a tizzy for something that won't matter in five years. That guy needs to get with the program and either take a vicodin and chill or he's gonna burst an artery.

Um. I just had to Google HTFU. lol. :)

If any of you are in the East Bay and want a local bike shop rec, Wheels of Justice (in Montclair and now a second shop at the former Solano Bikes in Albany) was amazing. I've been to both locations and dealt with Turner and with Justice, the owner, and they are both so helpful. They had zero "bike shop" attitude and were happily working on old bikes and new, had decent prices plus gave me tons of time and information. Justice is hilarious and we spent the whole time making off-color jokes. This sounds cheesy, but I was actually happy to spend money there and will be bringing any & all future bikes there for work.

I have been to some awful bike shops in SF and the East Bay. At one nobody could be bothered to talk to me (I had my old ten speed with me), and they weren't busy. At another one the employee asked my budget, when it was lower than what she was hoping for she walked away after eyeballing me and said I should get a women's specific 48cm bike. Um. If you've met me at a meet, you'll know that would be like me riding a Big Wheel.

I hate it when they have bike shop attitude. I went to this one place and all he did was ask me what my budget was. NOT what I intended to use the bike for, NOT what my experience was, but how much he can get me to spend.

So rather than tell him my budget (I came there for a specific bike and already KNEW that this bike was going to fit my needs) I told him I'd like to try THIS bike, in this particular size. He tried to sway me another way, telling me that the frame size I chose would be too small.

Little did he know that not only do I already know my size, but I also flew to MY FAMILY BIKE SHOP in Colorado to get professionally fitted.

Long story short, I ended up blowing him away with what I knew about this particular model, how a frame is fit and what I can get it for in regards to the ceiling on retail.

The only reason I got it there was because they are a dealer for that brand. My shop in Colorado specializes only in custom ordered bikes. Mine took 12 weeks for the frame alone to be built.

Ugh. I've bought many bikes over the years. And each one has been somewhat more expensive than the last. I don't know a ton about bikes but it seems like this trend of upgrading is common. So if a bike shop shuns someone with an old bike they may have lost this person's purchase a few years down the road when they decide to get a brand new bike, and if they get really into it that's a ton of $$, plus word of mouth.

On that note, I rode here. And either the bike or I needs a new seat very soon. Haha. Time to head back!

Lol i looked at it and it resembles the air setup on my dads Montero.
That thing took me like 4-5 hours to change the plugs.
Thats why im having 2nd thoughts.

you don't need to take anything off, just un plugs the wires, undo the coil packs and change plugs, i mean yeah its a tight squeeze but its a 20 mins job tops.
And for comparing the Tacoma to a Montero

    ...too much shit to list.
Eric is overly ambitious about quoting times. He's known for that.
I doubt you could remove, gap, and install all 6 plugs in 20 minutes, but it won't take you more than an hour. I've replaced mine 3 times in 2 different engines. My only words of wisdom are to pull the intake tube off and it makes the passenger side a breeze. The driver's side rear plug is the only bitch, so do that one first and the rest are a piece of cake.
