Your MPG will drop rolling bigger tires. Just the nature of the beast. No need to go to an 18" wheel unless you really want to.

I had 16" with 285's on my last truck.

I started reading more up on the 285s with our Tacoma's. My truck is still my daily driver and more of a every other weekend warrior. I know the 285s look better, but I really don't want to sacrifice anymore mpg loss then I have too. Not to mention the loss of uphill power without re-gearing. I'm gonna go with 265s this go around and see how it works out. Duratrac 285s only come in D (8 ply) rating and I want the E (10 ply) of the 265.

I am keeping my 265s even with the icon suspension. I think it looks fine

What's the general feeling on the carrier barring drop and extended brake lines with a suspension lift? Didn't see anyone say anything about those. And particular brand better?

I did not install a diff drop, as I have read they are pointless on the 2nd Gens. My CV angles are good. No extended brake lines; I called Icon and asked about this and they said they developed their kits to use the factory brake lines.

I've got a small (very slight) vibration in the pedal when I am speeding up. But no violent shaking

Sounds good. I didn't know if I needed to buy anything else. I found a place that will install it for $350 + $99 for alignment. I'll try to get it done on Saturday.
