i hate my truck right know, the front end sounds like hell, going to take the shocks of on friday and put the 5100's back on, the coilovers have lost of an inch of lift in one day. they have 0 nitrogen in them as they were never filled, damn northridge toyota.

i bought my coilover there, mistake. bajamoon=Steve, yup.

that sucks! what time you planning on doing the swap?

 

i am going to let my mechanic do it, he is going to put the shims in the rear and take off the sway bar. None of my floor jacks go high enough to get the wheels off the ground.

 

I got the tools. you bring the beer, we'll get it done

 

oh, cuz i was going to say i might be able to help. But since is doing all of that he should pry do it. I forgot you had ur trusty mechanic!

 

I use a 4" block of wood on top of the jack, to get that extra height - then you can let it sit on some stands

 

i use a 4x4 too and not quite high enough, he will do it for like 100.00 while I am at work and then bring it back to me when he is done, that's what i call service.

 

or you can set the bottle jack on the floor jack and jack it up. hahahahaha
that would be super sketchy. Im not saying do that cuz its stooopid. Just teasin ya for not having a manly enough jack.

Do any of you use the Hi-Lift jack to lift the truck when you're working on it? I'm stock height and I use the stock jack that came with my truck, but it's not tall enough. I think I might be placing it in the wrong spot. LOL.

So, I was thinking about getting one and was wondering if you could use it for that.

 

just get some wood to put under the jack

 

you can use as a high lift too. I never have though. But only cuz i dont have one. Plus they are great for offroading.
