Dude I wish I could afford one :pout:

And I'm interested to see how I like the mounts. Hopefully make the butt Dyno a bit happier. If I don't. Just take em off and resell em. They are brand new

Instant torque. No more motor twist.

Go out and open your hood and just free your motor by manually opening the throttle body. You'll see it twists a lot. These stop it from that and send the power strait to the drive line.

Might not help a ton now but after a SC it will

    CVT?? Haha

I actually think im on 3 now

That's a sweet shot though that Ben took on our expedition. All I did was buy the stuff and light up Mikes truck haha turned out great though!

    Haha!

Mine thought I was crazy too till they saw it. Now I think it's on my dads list..

Everyone I've talked too loves it. Says it makes a big difference.

But like I said. If I don't like it ill just take em off. No harm done.

Jerry and JD really like it though.

And I do plan on boosting as well as some point. Might even just turbo it instead of SC. that's up in the air. Or both..who knows.

I was going to do it to my supra though haha

That and I imagine that instant torque increases your chances of breaking shit!

I'm thinking more like axles while crawling. The twist in the motor will help ease that torque into the axles rather than just slamming them. Won't be an issue typically though, unless you are doing something that could potentially damage the axles anyway.

It's a similar concept to the slight play in a drive shaft. Helps prevent binding since it can slip just a tiny bit. The soft mounts possibly do the same thing for the tranny.

Lockers will increase the odds. Ben broke a cv without a front locker and Silas broke his 2nd cv while unlocked, so it is possible. Would require pretty much being in Moab though. haha. Not too often you have good traction on all 4 tires at once when offroading.

Yeah they both had after market axles, which are weaker but it still doesn't mean he are safe, especially when regears and gets 35's.

I watched a video by ARB the other day and they would lock their locker and another locker into chain driven gismo that would rotate the locker and measure the torque it was applying to rotate it. They would slide in axles that were locked in place so they couldn't rotate, then they would spin it and see how much torque was applied before something broke. I don't remember the numbers perfectly, but the other locker pretty much blew up at around 6200 ft-lbs (total loss, housing was destroyed as well as all the internal gears) and with the ARB the axle snapped at around 6700 ft-lbs of torque (locker was perfectly fine though). It's hard to compare those details to ours since ARB was showing off their locker (so it is very possible that those axles were weaker or weakened or skewed numbers, etc.) but with my 4.88's in 4Lo and 1st gear my motor can easily put over 10,000 ft-lbs of torque to the axles. If 3 tires lose traction, now most of that is going towards 1 axle and say you are going up something steep and trying to get over a rock or ledge as well plus add in 35's to that mix and it would be pretty easy to pop an axle (again assuming they can only handle ~7000 ft-lbs). In this worst case scenario you would barely have to touch the throttle to pop an axle. So then get into a scenario where just one or two tires have traction and you get a little throttle happy. Add in a crawl box and the amount of torque you put to the axles just went up significantly as well.

Also what was Max's story in Moab? I know he broke a rear axle but I thought he had just upgraded to some stronger axles?
