Oddly enough I'm waiting on my set,
I'm tired of the glare and all extra crap from the hid kit so I'm swapping it out with the nokya bulbs for color and beam pattern

I've had HIDs on everything and Nokyas on tons of vehicles. I took my HIDs outta my truck, they are asking for trouble. The Nokyas I have had no problems with in numerous vehicles, just buy 2 sets so you have matching spare just in case... they are like 10 bux. If I do HIDs again it needs to be full retro.

Color isn't bad, it's not quite as neon yellow-green as a Lexus projector, but it's probably as yellow as the Auto Zone yellow fogs (the old style 3x5 square units with yellow glass) ones are. They are much more yellow than the Hella Yellowstar bulbs I had on my first car.

I agree 100% with this sentiment. I have no desire to do a PnP HID kit. I've spent a lot of years on Daniel Stern's lighting website and I'm truly sold on never doing a non projector retro. My other car has an OEM HID setup and while yes, it's better than the OEM '13 headlights, it's not THAT much better all things considered. Would I love to have a whiter/brighter looking setup, sure, but I'm not going to blind everyone on the road in the process.

My neighbors are a business and only there during the day, and usually they are more interested in what I am building than the noise and mess i am making.

I had bulb life issues with Nokya and and issues with color fade. I went to Luminics 893 yellow bulbs in my car.

Oilchange, lubed the driveshafts, undercoated part of the frame and bolted on the winter wheels. Just in time, too - 5cm on the ground overnight and my drive to the main roads would've been pretty dicey with my well-worn BFG A/Ts. Good riddance to them - the truck rolls like a damn Cadillac on the DM-V1s...

Heated mirrors next! Hopefully this weekend.

    Cheers,
    Marc

Finally installed a panel behind my rear seats; I got rid of the plastic a couple months ago.

Velcro sticks to the carpet to assist in storage.

The plastic is a huge waste of space. With just one compartment I can fit more stuff and it also allows me to carry longer items back there.

I'm at the dealer now getting my first service under Toyota Care. So far so good but I must admit I'm at little nervous about the whole idea.

Took it in with absolutely nothing wrong, checked all lights, fluids, wipers, tires. Comes back that the drivers wiper is torn. I go next door to the parts store and by "my brand" and put Em on and pass. The shop denies and brushes off the fact that it happened. Customer service is called and looking into it.
