This cop gave the boot so should get the boot:

    http://www.break.com/index/cop-kicks-runaway-suspect-in-the-head.html

What makes it worse is the 2 of them high fiving at the end, as if to say 'yeah we got that sucker'. Errr, no, he gave himself up.

When will they learn that if there's a helicopter above the chase, there's probably a camera rolling.

He gave him self up and was laying down. I can understand being rough if he was resisting, but that was uncalled for. You don't kick a person while they are down. I don't care what he did, he still has rights.

Darn straight!!! He deserved to have the crap kicked out of him.... driving down the street the wrong way - he could have killed someone. You run from the cops and you should have no rights!!

a flying knee in the back wouldve been so much better

everyone is up in arms about the kick to the face...but did anyone notice the guy get hit a couple times with what appears to be a flashlight or baton?

and FWIW i wouldnt have kicked him...but he deserves to get his ass kicked for being stupid and running like that

i watched the entire chase live on tv...and had a different angle...missed the kick until today...but while he was running he ran thru school zones, residential neighborhoods etc...

i bet if that thug hit one of your family members youd have done a lot more than kick him in the face

Man that was rough. The man was down, arms and legs out. No threat. I'm not a police officer and I don't have to put up with the day in day out stress of being a L.E.O. but the man was down. The cop was wrong. The video will prove that in court. In America the police are held to a high standard and we look to them to do the right thing. Most police have to go through training to control their emotions even when the adrenaline is pumping. And I did see the baton, that was after he was kicked in the head and his natural reaction was to protect himself.( I would do the same) The guy is a dirtbag, but the police aren't judge jury and, well you know the rest. Unfortunatly a good lawyer wil get him some money and a good cop will loose his job over his emotions.

    This.

Yeah, he gave up and was completely harmless--once he gave up. What about the time when the LEO was chasing him? Being the lead car is easy, being the pursuing one is difficult. The guy could have easily had a close call with a car moving perpendicular to him, that car wouldn't stop in time, then the officer would have crashed, possibly dying. The guy being chased could have easily killed innocent bystanders.

He's a criminal, a kick to the head should be the least of his worries.

i saw a pic of this guy, and he's obviously a dirtbag...but i did not see what the infraction was in the first place that started the chase. i'm not a fan of high speed pursuits in residential areas. what i mean is, sometimes a guy will run a stop sign or something, and the police will chase after him like he just shot the presi...umm...pope lol unless it was a major infraction, i disagree with chasing in areas where there may be colateral damage. the offender would not likely be doing 90 through a school zone if there weren't five squad cars behind him with sirens and overheads spinning. to me it's a cost-based-analysis...if the guy has already shot someone...go get him, but if he's being chased for a bench warrant for not paying a speeding ticket...catch him another day. the risk to the public, to me is too great. i agree that runing is wrong, but the chase always intensifies the potential for an unhappy ending.

As much as it pains me...cause this guy deserved way worse than a kick to the head...that cop was outta line.

It's not the way our system works and stuff like that video make it that much harder to keep an already fucked up beyond usless system going.

Bad Cop...No Donut (not that he looked like he needed any anyways)

Just thinking here....BUT.....Technically, the cop IS out of line.....HOWEVER, That fuckstick could have killed MANY inocent people while trying to flee the cops. WHAT IF, cops could kick the shit out of these doosh bags when caught? Im mean, Fuck this guy! Do any of us think this was his FIRST crime? How many times do you think this dooosh hit women, kids, his parents? Burglary? I'll say one thing, Its a good thing Im not running this country. As soon as someone ran from the cops, their rights are bye bye. And WHEN they are caught, an ass kicking, chomping dog, tazer, awaits them.
