    If i did go duals it would be 2.28's...so much about midwest wheeling is momentum and wheelspeed...crawlin wont do shit out here

    So upon cleaning up the front axle and knuckles...I found this:

    So I did this:

    1/4" Gussets cut out with my plasma:

    Gussets were MIG'd after a 400°F Pre-heat :

    And then were post heated and slow cooled afterwards for about 3 hrs. :D

    Yes, they are cast nodular iron. Behaves more like cast steel than cast iron, but the preheating reduces the stresses induced from localized heating/cooling, preventing cracking of the casting.

    Done. Preheated to approx 400°F and welded up with the MIG set very hot. Couple passes peening each one, very similar to what I did on my knuckles.
