60+ year old thread.

Evening All. Spent the weekend upstate...no internet, the only TV we have is connected to a DVD/VHS player...Had a good weekend weather wise and a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Daughter in law brought up the movie Brave so we got to see it. Cute movie...grand daughter watched it 3 times. Hope all had a safe and happy Thanksgiving..

 

another monday, beginning of another work week.... but one ray of sunshine, that much closer to retirement.... whenever that is

I think Sue has an idea! Maby should put out some traps for deer. Better not give the Pa. game commission any ideas, they'll be selling deer trapping licenses to make more money.
Had a doe standing in front of me today, I think there's a good chance that a buck got past me.
Int. wiper switch came today. Looks good!

Saw plenty of deer this weekend Carl, but only one was ballsy enough to show his rack...Doe's seem to know they are not in season so they are more visible during buck season. Come doe season, they all hide...Good luck hunting and BE CAREFUL out there...

No ticks this yr., so far, not like last yr, but it's a lot colder.
Didn't hunt today, SO, installed the int. wiper switch. Works fine!

Must have missed this.

3 days at home and I want to go back to the woods,Need some cold temp. bad, never had all the blood suckers out this late.

Evening all:
Never really heard of that in our area. Years ago there would have been a hundred guys in line claiming that. More than once I was sitting in a treestand and heard a shot before it was even light enough to see. There was a private hunting club across the river with a long dirt access road. Easy to see in the headlights, or using a spotlight on the way in.
They usually just post some pictures of a few successful hunters.
The days of hearing 150-200 shots in the first 1 1/2 hrs. (buck only) are GONE!!!! At least in our area, and I think a lot of other areas.
Went out today; didn't even hear 1 shot. Saw 1 set of tracks in the snow, probablly from last night.

 

Morning all. just heard on the news this morning that gun sales in the nation have been the highest ever...sales to woman have increased considerably too...they then said could it be because of the political climate and gun control???Or are people fed up with Washington and are getting ready to succede(sp.) from the states???

 

Could also be that a lot of us older guys are finally purchasing the hunting weapons we always wanted but could not afford.
