Meh. It looks better than the K&N but doesn't sound as kewl as the K&N. That thing absolutely SCREAMED and the response and power feels every so slightly less. I guess the price you pay to not ruin your MAS regularly.

Yeah, for sure. I've had good luck and most of the stuff I've read online has also been positive. For me the piece of mind is well worth it and this thing looks gangstar under the hood sitting next to the s/c.

Yeah, I saw that too. He was selling it not too long ago and I considered buying it but I don't care about how good my engine bay looks that much.

Truth. In my runner I have the k&n and I have to clean my MAS every now and again.

I had the AFE drop in on my Tacoma and like it better than k&n for the same reason as ost.

 

What did the s/c do to your mpg?

These are awesome! Keep cold/hot things away from your hands, and anyone who knows the utility of canning jars will appreciate it. I love them, bought a couple as presents for all my crunchy ski bum friends who like beverages.

Seriously if you are thinking of going SC should you be thinking about MPG's?

 

Just finished Stay The Trail Ambassador training tonight. Learned some good things. We can definitely do more when we are out as a group to help keep the trails clean and maintained for everyone. I encourage all of you who want to help out to go through this training and become an ambassador.

 

What sort of things do they want you to do to keep the trails maintained? Pick up trash etc?

What all does it entail? Are there any perks? Cost?

I'm always a fan of trail clean-ups or other stuff to help preserve the trails (being an environmental science major and all) and this forum with the # of guys we have in Denver could certainly make a difference

 

That, educate new riders/drivers, and simple user made route closing with logs and such. They are planning quite a bit more in organized trail maintenance this coming year. Eyes and ears for the forest service. There is even an online reporting system. Well organized and pretty slick.

 

Can't tell if you're talking about my poop or my dogs poop . I usually do both.
