This is the biggest UGA game since the NC year in 1980... Unless they've had a single game that guaranteed a shot at a NC (or the NC itself) since then, and I don't think they have.

That's one area where I think Alabama has an edge... Most of the guys in our locker room have experience in huge games. Some have experience in multiple (Barrett Jones already has two NC rings). Having never played at that level, I have no idea how much that matters, but talking heads seem to bring it up enough that maybe it matters a little.

I think it's a good idea. He doesn't want to hear questions all week about how he doesn't beat ranked opponents/doesn't show up in big games. That's not what he needs to be hearing right now. He needs to take as much time as possible to watch film and prepare. Screw the media. Players shouldn't be OBLIGATED to talk to them anyway.

Hell, I knew we were good, but I didn’t think we were this good! Did you ever get a group of guys to go play 5 on 5 basketball at the nearest elementary school with 8 foot rims? That’s what it’s like when the SEC plays the ACC in the final week of the regular season. It’s an Ego Boost.

Florida, who has a terrible offense by all accounts, was on the road against the nation’s #1 defense (stop laughing) Florida State. Sounds like trouble, right? Wrong. 37 points and 244 rushing yards later, it’s pretty clear that having the best defense in the ACC is like an only child bragging about being the toughest kid at his home school.

Unfortunately, we have played like an ACC team the second half of the season. I'm not sure we could even be that competitive there. And of course, your Auburn kittens need to start over. Heard rumors that y'all are after Petrino, any thoughts on who you want for your next coach?

I don't want that sleaze ball. I think he's a pretty fair coach, but has shit on every organization he's been affiliated with. Who knows at this point, prolly won't know till after bowl season.

Fair enough. I'm hoping y'all don't hire another good coach for a few years. It is nice having a few sec wins here and there :anonymous:

From the games I have watched and the comments I have heard from talking heads, I understand he is a great defensive mind. He doesn't do much of the spread offense, so that would conflict with your current talent and athletes already there. But hey, maybe he can hire Les Koening to help him out

I really hope they hire Petrino. Really really bad.

I have a couple of reasons, but one is that the "offensive genius" is 0-4 vs. Alabama/Saban, including a 3-TD blowout, a 4-TD blowout, and a 5-TD blowout.

I wanted to see his offense match up with a weak for Alabama defense.

Well, the 2010 fighting Newtons and Fairleys beat Bama. He is talking about Petrino.

Oh, I know, it's just those scores kinda sound familiar. Give me second, just read a interesting quote or your guy. This from Phil Savage, president of the senior bowl.

Mullen, a former Florida offensive coordinator, is in his fourth season at Mississippi State. The Bulldogs will be bowling for the third straight year under Mullen, even though they lost in the Egg Bowl under his guidance for the first time last week to finish the regular season at 8-4.

"I would venture to say he's taken Mississippi State as far as they can go," Savage said, and he wondered if Mullen might think the same thing.

Yeah your guys have the big game experience but I'm going for the fact that our players should want it more, I know our fans do.
