did the math....it's cheaper to let the dealer deal with it then to do it myself.

I leased my truck, so they are getting it back after 3 years anyway.
Anything they screw up they have to fix.

I do everything myself. The only thing that I had paid for is alignment. I dont even jack my truck up to change the oil. haha

DIY. Why would you pay someone to do something that takes 10 minutes? No need to jack the truck up and the filter is right in front of you when you pop the hood. Even has a little drain spout. I can change my oil without even getting dirty.

I used to my own oil changes all the time... until I realized it only costs me like 10 bucks more to do it at the dealer and they also do an inspection and all that shiz on top. annnnd I dont have to get all mucked up.

How the fuck do you get that to work?

.. not that it matters to me now, as I have the 160,000 km ECP that does everything for me, but wipe my ass; but when I had my '08 I couldn't figure out how to use that little drain nipple under the catch tray on the filter housing!

Please tell me that its not a specialty $7000 Toyata tool that you need to make that hole work!

Um... It's a drain. You put a cup or container under it when slowly unscrew the filter and let the oil drain into the container. What were you having problems with?

Definitely easiest vehicle I have ever owned for oil changes. I actually enjoy when it's time to change it.

Total of 30 seconds or less spent under the vehicle, without any lifting required whatsoever. Unless I chose to stay lay and nap while the oil is draining.

Dealer gave me free oil changes for a year, but I'd rather do it myself.
