So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
The 2009 base 4x4 is my first and I'd buy another no question. Might consider a bigger engine.

I love my access cab but would buy a regular cab 4X4 in a heartbeat if they came with the V6.

Probably not. Due to gas prices I may convert to sedans in the future. Hopefully hybrid battery motors are better by then and can last longer because I may want a hybrid sedan.

Probably not. I like the Taco and all but I also like having something different I personally don't see the point in replacing something with the exact same thing feels like you didn't get a new vehicle.

If I were getting a new truck now it would be an F150 or Ram 1500.

I definitely would. I've owned a 2009 and a 2012. In between I owned a 2009 mustang gt, a 2006 f250 diesel and a 2012 focus :anonymous: I didn't like any of them as much as my 09 so I bought my 12 but this time I went DCSB Instead of an AC

no not in less they changed somethings..i have a 11 dcsb sport tim mica auto. they need to move the cup holders back.if you have anything plugged in its a pain in the ass to get your drinks out, they cup holder that is right behind the shifter is to dam small and only holds cans they shoulda went big and made a reducer. gas milage sucks in some cases full size get better mpg's.. the window controls should be moved back some. wiper motor is noise till it "warms up" on the second one of them. brake rotors suck on the second set of them. windsheild gasket howls at higher speed annoying as shit. yes im sure some of the things mentioned may sound petty but i spend alot of time in the truck and it get to you after awhile. powertrain time will tell if it holds up to its name. i def love the truck and should last me along long time but to answer your ques no i wouldnt. jmo!!

Interesting first post. And btw you do know your truck has 13 cup holders so instead of complaining about the 1 that only holds cans why not just use one of the other 12?

To add to my post, the service that I receive from my dealer with any concern or service is second to none. Whether it is for an oil change, NYS Inspection or a problem with my truck, I have ALWAYS received the best treatment anyone could ask for with no questions asked. That is just one more reason to stick with what you know and what you can trust.

I just took that jump. I had a 1989 Toyota Pickup and went with a 2012 Tacoma RCLB 2.7L 2wd. I took it because I have had minor problems as opposed to major problems with other manufacturers. I have always been able to find replacement or after market parts. And when I sold my 89 I received five times what I could have sold a Detroit made model for.

As I see it the only posters here are the winners and the whiners. Don't listen to the whiners. They would find fault with any vehicle they drove.

I owned a 2003, 2007, and now a 2011. I was kind of hoping for a complete redesign soon. Im waiting for the 2014 Silverado to come out next year to take a look at, Hopefully Tacoma will have a complete redesign soon too.

Woah now no need for the anger. I was just stating there are others. If you have an auto there should be three cup holders right behind the shifter? I'm not 100% sure as I own a 6 speed. So you should have 3 within quick reach distance? Just saying.

If you're worried about staying on the road so much then cup holders should be the least of your worries. I'm sure you can find time to find a cup holder to fit your "drivers drink" before you start driving. You'll last long around here insulting members immediately after you join.

its just getting broke in! i gave my son my old 02 tacoma and it has 280k on it and still drives nice. i brought a fjc back in 07 and now the wife drives that, as i brought a new 12/RC/4x4 and few months ago. if it was me, i would buy a new one and keep the old one.

While I agree that cup holders are a silly thing to care about he clearly stated the front 2 are in the way for him having things plugged in and the one behind the shifter is too small for whatever he has. So I could understand being a little annoyed needing to use the ones down in the door or the ones for the rear passengers. I don't have issues myself with the front even with stuff plugged in.

I guess I just don't know what he would be plugging in thats blocking anything? it wasnt mentioned in his post so I can only assume. I know with my 6-speed if I place a bottle in the first cup holder I always hit it when I shift into 6th. But I don't hate that about my truck. I chose the 6 speed because I like it so I'll just use another cup holder. It doesnt distract me from looking at the road to place a cup in the cup holder but to each there own.
