Cut the clamp on the small end of the cv boot and slide it away and reclamp should help

 

alex just trade your wagon in and gen a first gen. they are way better. no traction control, no horrible transmission issues, nothing high tech, low key and it works.

Looks like i need LCA bushings i was adjusting my camber today and the drivers front cam bolt was soo frozen. still got it with in spec. How good of a job are these to tackle?

Anyone have any advice on hooking my cb up? I'm good with everything except the fucking coax cable. How the fuck do I get it into the cab??? I'm so frustrated! The fucking cable isn't long enough either.

 

Nightmare! They never come out. If you want to do it i may have a few extra lower arms kicking around you could burn the bushings out of and set up before you take yours out. I would choose to avoid it if at all possible.

Ya we had a hell of a time getting them out . We ended up burning them out .

 

I ran my cable through the rubber grommet near the passenger door . Next to the frame . Made a small slice , stuck the cable through and silicone the hole so no water would get through . I believe there's one on the drivers side to . There's already a hole in the carpet under the pass seat so that's where the cable came out .
I guess it all depends on where you are putting everything .

 

Yea if they are like the fords then ill do it at work like i always do cut and use some oxyacetylene

 

When toyota replaces the frame most of the time the lower arms are just replaced. Its easier/cheaper for them to just give u a new arm and bushings than fuck with the old one for a few hours. Then again to me that few hours is worth the money i would save.

 

My frame is new well a few years old. But they are still frozen. Im going to order the parts in the morning and see how much of a PITA it will be to replace.

 

It's just time consuming . Burn them out !

 

I don't know about the 1st Gens, but the 2nd Gens, when you buy the LCA, you get them with new bushings and a new ball joint. If yours are old, or you think the ball joints might be going out soon, it might be worth considering.

 

Whats a good toyota site to order from where i can save some cash. I know of rock auto.....I had the ball joint recall performed so they are new ish
