HEALTHY HIPS 4LIFE!

Hey Tacomaworld me and my best friend want to do a car-wash donation drive to HipDysplasia.org we are promoting HEALTHY HIPS 4LIFE! for young children and unfortunate families that can't afford surgery procedures. All proceeds go to HipDysplasia.org.

We are looking forward to holding this car wash drive on Dec.1st this will be on a Saturday, I will try to get a radio station D.J. to go to the donation drive. With tacomaworlds support I can say that it would be amazing to see a turn up of toyota's also I will keep posting more info on this car wash drive like posting up a poster and giving more info on the location of the drive.

Also every person who gets there vehicle washed will get a nice reminder to the cause a wrist band they will be blue with the [HEALTHY HIPS 4LIFE] in a white banner these are being ordered at the moment!

these are the wrist bands that will be given away at the car-wash donation drive and team mia is one of the many children sponsored.

 

Mia was diagnosed with 'bilateral' hip dysplasia, meaning that both hips were affected, at 2 years old. Since her diagnosis in June of 2011, she has gone through 2 extensive corrective surgeries to attempt to build her hip sockets. Because Mia's femurs were dysplased for so long, her body had actually begun to build a second set of hip sockets a little higher up than where her real ones should have been. Mia's surgeries were successful, and she is recovering. Mia is currently in a 'spica' cast, which is a body cast and goes from her arm pits to her ankles, and she will wear this for 8 weeks. After the cast is removed, she will learn to crawl, walk and run again, this being the 3rd time. Mia will need 2 more surgeries before the age of 5 to remove the hardware inside, and then she will require more surgery at ages 5, 8, etc. Hip Dysplasia and its effects are lifelong and with it the risks of lifelong disability. so this is why me and my best friend are doing the car wash, just to help hipdysplacia.org, Team Mia and other families that cannot afford to pay all of the procedures required to build a better life for there son/daughter with hipdysplacia

 

If you do the car wash in Fontana I might show up. Where are you thinking about doing it?

 

there are a few places that i have looked at already located on sierra ave. I just have to get the permit which im working on doing that on monday, I might do it at the rims for rent on sierran and randal or burger king on sierra and foothill also looking into the chase at foothill and citrus. once I get the permit ill see if one of the locations will give me the ok.

 

UPDATE:

the car-wash for dec.1st will be held at the burger king off of foothill and sierra. It will most likely start at 8am i will arrive earlier to set up, also anyone whom would like to help us out please do!

i might cancel it and postpone it for next week, its going to rain thursday, possible saturday and possible on sunday. If it does i have to cancel, cant have a car wash in the rain hahahahahaa..
