I need a pelican 1700 case. Cut foam is fine, scratched and dirty is fine as long as it seals and locks.

I have one installed... This ^^^^^

Got mine from a craigslist purchase... $50, look new!

    Bummer... GL!

Then just come by and work on mine! :D

Welcome to the money hole from Chesapeake!

Gotta do what YOU like! I like my Bull Bar.

Something is wrong in your math. Even when I drive stupid with my 32" tires I get 13... or 260 per tank. I used to get 17 or 340 with my stockers. My regular driving... I average near 14.5 - 15MPG consistently... The lift makes very little diff (weight only) city... a little more highway due to aerodynamics.... but still not what your saying... not even close!

Best... most cost effective... tough phrases to go together. I can tell you I took the inexpensive route. First... spacer lift in front, add a leaf in rear. I liked it with 3" of lift so I added bigger tires. It wasn't too long before I went with new coils up front and adjustable billies all the way around. I now have 5" of lift and the ride is as good as it was when it was new. I can also say this IS my daily driver.

I envy the dudes that can go balls out and drop a couple G's all at once... but I can't. I do have a handful of mods that I enjoy... but the majority were opportunity buys... either from members, Craig's list, or discounted due to "connections". I like cheap! Good luck... and quit lurking... join in! Lift it, get new rubber, call it a day... until the itch get you and then.....

I know a guy that was a brake mechanic and now runs a brake shop. His opinion is that says slotted \ drilled rotors make little to no difference for non-racing vehicles. I know 2 other guys that are mechanics... one regular, one performance... they agree, but the performance guy says if you got the $$ to toss... they won't hurt and look cool! That's all I'm saying.

i can get some drilled/slotted rotors online at pretty decent prices but my concern is more getting mud or rocks in the holes or slots and the tundra brake mod sounds pretty good so that may happen down the road.

so im kinda pissed... some of the bushings on my rack and pinion are worn out and because of this, when i turn the wheel, the entire rack and pinion shifts slightly from side to side about an inch or maybe 1/2 inch... anyways... toyota said that they can only sell me one of the bushings, and the other comes with a rack and pinion... in other words, i gotta buy a new rack and pinion to get the bushing i need... so i went aftermarket and ordered some energy suspension brand bushings off Amazon... after my order conformation, i was informed that the bushings wont be here until Jan 10th or so...

What he said ^^^ Only I'd add that if you can honestly say you don't see yourself ever getting into more than what you stated, just get some better A/T tires and maybe upgrade your shocks down the road. But like most, the more you get into it enjoying your truck and taking it places, the more things you're going to want for it, and more places you're gonna want to try to take it.

Used to run slotted/cross drilled on my old Nissan. On the truck, I look at them as places to collect dirt/debris and cause brake squeal.

I installed the Energy Suspension Bushings a few months ago, they make a world of difference, I promise you that. It's money well spent for the price.

Contemplated doing the samething with work ... Didn't want to burn up a vacation day though.

    Wuddup

I could use them. I need both for the driver's side. Might as well get matching rears.

Another issue with my used Taco: I didn't get keys... for ANYTHING. Already replaced the locks on my topper door. I don't have keys for the cargo rack installed on top of it. I've researched it online and found you need to go to a locksmith to pick 'em so you can swap out the locks. Anyone know a way around this? Or know a friendly priced locksmith?
