as of earlier this year all of my SUA leaf packs come as the 11 leaf xl pack (extra load). all you have to do is pull the 3rd leaf down from the main to make it my standard pack. if someone has pulled another leaf out to make it a 9 leaf pack let me know. i would like to know how you sit at ride height and how the ride is offroad

Been thinking of doing the same, when we went to ocotillo did you have a leaf removed?
Even with two spares my truck rides rough and it seems like the pack doesn't want to break in.

After looking at it, I guess we took out 2 leafs from the 10 leaf pack.

Before it was fairly stiff offroad and after removing the leafs and rebuilding the bypasses they dropped out better, didn't buck as much and all and all I'm much more satisfied with the ride.

Yeah I've been running the 10 leaf pack for a while with 6-8 desert trips and it hasn't gotten any softer.

When you remove leafs do you just take out the last one ?

This is key, idk why everyone always tries to tune by ride height alone

Mike was referring to the 11-leaf pack or XL as he calls it. Removing the 3rd down from the main makes it a standard pack.

Matt has taken it further by removing 2 extra leafs from the initial/standard 10-leaf pack. At which he hasn't stated which ones though.

I wouldn't expect a dramatic change. Removing leafs from SUA doesn't really effect ride height that much. Plus the amount of ride height it does change depends on which leaf(s) you pull. Pulling leafs farther up the pack will lower it more than the lower leafs.
With the 50T, I measured barely 1/4" of an inch difference between a full 11 leaf pack and bottom 2 leafs removed.

Only way to tell the real difference is everyone measure the distance from their axle to the bottom of the frame. This will show any real difference in ride height

Yours looks lower because you have bigger tires
I need to lower my front end so bad. I want to run another long travel set up in the front.

We took out the bottom 2 smallest leafs from each side.

I'm right at 8" from top of the axle to the bottom of the frame.

I am already running 600lb springs with no preload and it sits high still
