    Too few to list.
Don't be afraid to offer whatever amount you're comfortable in paying. I have a friend that just purchased a 2002 4runner limited 155K and the guy originally wanted $8k and he drove away with it for $4500.

Just tell the guy that you know it's not what he's asking for and offer him $6K and see if he bites. Ever watch "Counting Cars" or "Gas Monkey"? They buy cars to flip and most of the time people ask $xx amount and with a little negotiating they accept half of what they are asking.

that's one of the best years to have one! 2001 started all the VSC shit, and no locker. that one should have a locker.

6k? Damn..I guess I'm used to these sky high tacoma prices. If I could get away with a fully loaded runner like this for 6k that would be incredible..so much money for mods! haha

if he wants 8200, I don't think that's unreasonable. I still think you should try for at least 7-7500. he prob will not let it for 6, but he may be hard up for cash, and if you showed up with green in hand, he may take 45 lol.

That's a sweet ride. $6K may be pushing it but I bet it could be yours for $7K. You could start at $6K and see what happens. You never know until you ask. Good luck!

He says his family is wanting something newer since a baby is on the way..so I'm assuming he considered trading it in but decided to sell it himself for a little more. NADA is saying a trade in value of about 5200-6000. So Maybe offer him 6400 to start? that's still a nice little gain..he counter offers 7500, I meet him in the middle at 7, and walk away with a sick rig, and over 5500 in the bank from the remaining sales from the tacoma  may not sound like alot but to a college student, that's some serious cash :bananadance:

I personally this it's a pretty decent deal as is. Has low miles and the locker. I'd say if you get anywhere close to 7500 to do it.

Yeah in all honesty, I would pay blue book for it, assuming it will be as clean as I'm hoping it is.

Two months ago I sold my 2000 SR5, 4x4, no locker with 220,000 miles for $5,500. I would say the one you're looking at is already a good deal and if you get it for $7,000 or so, you hit a home run. Very nice looking 4Runner.

I see that going for 7-8k pretty easy btw

By all means offer him what you would pay, was just pointing out I can definitely see someone paying closer to his asking price if you don't get it

Oh ok. This one doesn't have a terrible amount of miles, but I'm definitely getting underneath the thing with a flashlight and looking for rust. If it looks questionable I might have to walk away. But you're right 7k would be a steal. I don't think there are many people looking for 4x4 in Oklahoma where I currently am. So I bet he's gotten a lot of low balls. I see tons of nice 2WDs listed dirt cheap.
