It's hard to see, but I used angle stock about 1" wide at each steering rack bolt. then just drilled holes for the bolts. I'll try to get a better picture of them... They were probably the trickiest part of the whole skid though...
    haha Thanks, bro.

lol yeah!! haha I just have a little Lincoln 125 ... I wasn't too worried about burning through. I don't know exactly how thick the axle housing is, but I welded it as if I was welding 1/8th plate... and of course the mounts are 1/4".

    Soo :jellydance:

Looks damned good. Have you driven around with it yet? How's it feel compared to the old setup? Especially with the /\ shocks?

    hahaha I know. :p
Yeah, and it feels great compared to the old set-up, considering my old-setup was way-to-stiff expos and blown shocks! :p Any little bump shocked my spine!!! I'm sure triangulating the shocks are hurting the potetial comfort I could get out of the springs, but they still work better than the blown ones. :D And the chevies are very soft, which I'm loving!

If you had known the chevy springs are an inch longer, would you have moved the hangers farther or lengthened the shackles to get a better angle?

Skid looks great! Looks really close to mine (which isn't a bad thing since I think mine has worked out awesome). Good job.

Monte, I'm not sure my mounting brackets for my skidplate are exactly the same as Silas' but the same idea I think where they attach to the steering rack. Here's mine.

Bad ass Silas!! That's a lot of droop! How are you going to change a tire now? haha. Can you lift off of the sliders and get the tires safely off of the ground?
