I just got my Tacoma on Monday and already started setting it up.
1st I ran a fused 12v line into the cab for extra 12v outlets under the dash behind the fuse box door. These are to power my XM radio & GPS, I tucked the power cords from both to under the dash to keep them out of the way.
2nd I removed the 7 pin from below the bumper and up out of the way in the bumper.

3rd Added a rack across the bed so I can carry even more crap.

Waiting on my OME lift and more mad money for sliders and bed rack for the RTT.
Also need to install the AUX,remove the rear seat and make a platform for the 12v fridge, install the HAM & CB radio on the wall behind the back seat and run all wires for mics.
Lots to do but looking forward to it.

The Yakima parts I've had on different vehicles over the years, the dual battery system HAM & Cb did come from my FJ.

I gotta find time to drop by and see your work. I really need to put some more always hot 12V ports in my cab.

Here are the pictures of the finished job that I promised yesterday. This is a 30" Alien LED Lightbar. I mounted it to the two aluminum outriggers for the inner bumper. I had to include a 3/8" riser to get the lightbar to line up perfectly with the grill. The light output is painful (if you're coming at it). SUPER HAPPY with the way it turned out.

Nice job, looks great. How hard is it to pull off and replace the stock bumper? What grill is that also?

I made the grill ma-self. It's modeled after the matashi (or whatever it's called) grill so popular on this site. I went to Area Iron here on the west side of El Paso and picked up the perforated steel and went to town with saw, bondo, fiberglass, and paint. It took a while...but it came out super nice.

The front bumper removal is a bit of a pain...but easier than I was expecting. Your's would be EASY since it's new. I had a lot of dirt locking up the plastic tabs when I tried to release them. And several broke. If you plan to remove yours...I can assist!

BTW...the only thing I don't like about the light bar is how it gives the truck "teeth". But I still have yet to re-install my Avid-Offroad light bar that I am repainting. Maybe that will make it look a little better.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
What if you cut out the plastic dividers that make it look like teeth ? Keep it wide open ?

I put on my dipped grille that I painted yesterday evening along with the Tacoma emblem on the door.

That smudge below the emblem is my reflection ;)

Rims and rear bumper are next on the blackout list. And probably the front lower valance thing too.

    I love my truck!!!

I would love to do the BHLM but honestly I'm scared to do it. I told my friend about it and he looked at me like I was completely crazy.
    "in the OVEN???"
But, dood, I saw it on the internet. It looks awesome!

In all honesty its not that bad, I just did mine about a week ago and they look great. The paint chipped at the top putting them back together but I'll be getting eyelids to cover that anyways. Its really not that hard just take your time.

You can cover the bottom opening with the same mesh you used on the grill. That would look good and hide the light more.

Or just not worry about it, it looks good.

Finally got my hilift + shovel mounted in the back for the winter. Since floor space is limited in the back because of my two dogs, I'm considering building a tool box on the DS wheel well to hold extra tools and recovery gear, etc.

I have that exact size and tire on my 2012 Access Cab. I've only experienced rub on the left front mudflap when that wheel dips in a rut on the side of the road. (Checking my mail box on wrong side of road). Does no damage. Never heard a rub any other time. I don't take it wheeling either. Stock suspension with rear airbags.
