Looking for a little help regarding where to purchase car audio items online. I found two of my Alpine amps at Buy.com with just over a $100.00 in savings, and my Focal speakers at Sonic Electronix with about $120.00 savings.

Any direction of where to purchase online or who to stay away from would be greatly appreciated.

I've been pretty hesitant to purchase any descent amount of money online for eletronic items, mostly worried about quality of service, return policy and actual quality of the items. Dont want to pay for new and get refurbished BS.

    Thx

    BB

Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.
I've used sonic electronix before. I was impressed with the quickness of delivery and the price.

What Alpine amps are you looking for?

I just picked up an Alpine PDX-5 from Ebay for $365 shipped. Seller's name is Discount Sounds out of Florida. He is not an authorized dealer but he sells new stuff only.

I've used both of those quite a few times, and they are both excellent.

    I have ordered from Onlinecarstereo.com, Subwoofersetc.com, Crutchfield,
    Sonicelectronix.com and Amazon.com.
I was really surpized with selection, price and speed of shipping with Amazon.com. Sometimes the stuff ships from Amazon and sometimes they have an Amazon Marketplace dealer. Both ways I have been satisfied. On a set of Alpine SPX17 Pro I even got free shipping with a price that was waaaay (-$300.00) below Crutchfield.
Its always good to do a little searching with google on any online outfit to see if there are tons of complaints or not. Some outfits also charge you a handling fee that is hidden in their "shipping" fee. Contact em first and ask questions.
    Best of Luck.

Thx everyone for all the help, definitely gave me places to look at. I am glad so many people buying stereo stuff on line. I have been afraid if something like a amp, or speakers went tits up, I just waisted a bunch of money. Guess I gotta man up and just do it!

I'd had no issues with any of these vendors.

Just be forwarned though, if you have to return anything to Sonic Electronixs, don't be in an sort of hurry.:( It was a 3 1/2 week ordeal to get something swapped. Not good IMO.
