These are the guys I'm checking out. My shackle flips come in about a week from now or so, which will mean I'll have all my stuff in hand to show them what they are up against and we can discuss what needs done. My dad was the one who found them. I'm not sure what he told them what might be in store, but they were giving prices in the $450 range?

I'm currently more interested in stopping it when it shoots out to full extension, but I'm going to solve that after the rear end gets some progress.

I'll be getting the Allpro leaf pack. You can't really go wrong with either Allpro or Dakar but I think more people prefer the Allpros from what I gathered when I spent a good couple hours on a few threads discussing this same thing.

pretty cool, but i could go through what he's going through. They need to make a video with him over coming obstacles or something way cool. Then again the fact that he can use the tracks with his stock tires is awesome!

Those are pretty crazy!! If you were already on 35's or bigger these would make your diff clearance go way up so it would take deeper snow before you started plowing it, plus with all the extra surface area of the track you are going to ride higher on the snow too! Would be pretty awesome but are probably outrageous...

For me I doubt it... haha. My 33's have been getting me around in the snow just fine so far plus I have chains for them. I think they would take the fun out of snow wheeling. Would be good for someone interested in easily getting to high up places through deep snow. Basically someone who is more concerned with getting to a destination than just having fun in the snow. Haha

Unfortunately they are just prototypes. No price for them yet. I'm curious what the price will end up being if they go into production. I love the mattracks, but don't know if I'll ever be able to afford them...or justify them haha. I kind of like these because you can drive on and off fairly quickly. Have them in the bed or a trailer while you drive to some road for snow wheeling and put them on there. The mattracks only go up to 40mph. Pretty nasty limitation if you have to hit pavement to get to the snow.

    edit. Info!

I think a bunch of these would be great to have.

Not as effective as chains but a whole lot easier to put on when you are stuck. Hell probably easier to put on whether you are stuck or not. haha

I normally don't fall for those gimmick tools sears comes out with every x-mas but these max axxes socket sets are pretty gangster. I've been using these at work for a while and picked myself up a set. They're hollow and eliminate the need for a deep socket most of the time. Also have a tight clearance and 72 tooth gear. They come with extensions that are hollow as well so you can really get em to work well.

    Here's a extension

Then when you add this dude to a wrench with a 17mm socket you can just let the threaded portion of the bolt pass right on through like a gangsta. Worth the $55 for a full set!

Super light weight and the whole set fits under your passenger seat.

I've been using those for a couple years. I use them more than any other tools/sockets I have. I have the Kobalt (Lowes) set and I haven't seen them at Lowes for a while. It looks like they sold them off to Sears. Either way I highly recommend them. They are very useful and are quality built..
