This is my guess.

They told me to come check and see why it broke. I don't see how someone could have broken it since its a double pane glass and its the outside section is the piece that shattered. I guess maybe it was too tight in place? What do you think skip?

 

Bottomed out 14 times in the five mile trip to deliver this. I need new suspension.

 

I told my boss somebody tried to break in and broke it. He pondered it for a minute and was like. "Criminals these days are stupid, why would they try to come through the second floor!" I started laughing and he just looked and me and said go back to work before I fire you haha

possible, but doubtful. Most hurricane codes call for impact resistance. Tempered glass is not impact resistant. A laminated glass like our windshields would more likely be used in that situation.

Most times I see second story broken tempered glass it's due to a kid with a pellet gun, bird strike, or over sized glass in a small opening that broke due to settling of the building.

Can you take a pic of the whole window? The break pattern usually suggests the point of origin, but I can't see the whole lite.

I can gain entry into most buildings through the glass with basic hand tools without breaking the glass

 

Well I actually just left the office to head to a job site. But the glass looks like it started shattering in the top left corner. Right where the window frame does a 90 degree turn down the side of the glass.

 

Look for where the glass breakage spreads out from and that's the point of origin.

If it's in the middle it's most likely a strike. If it's on the edge most likely a installation error.

 

Yeah it's right on the edge. The office is only 2 months old so installation error is very possible since we've already had 3 roof leaks and a bunch of other stupid stuff happen. There are actually two windows in the office that broke. Both happened last night

 

temp changes can bring on issues if not installed properly or over sized. also for large runs you need expansion/contraction joints so the aluminum can move as it expands and contracts with temp changes.

either way it's warranty work. the building should have at least a 1 year warranty on the installation and glass.

 

it's raining in so cal ... shut down the freeways cause no one know how to drive in the rain.

Yeah it's definitely warranty work. I already called the builder and they said they would come check it out Monday. It's crazy you pay a million dollars for a nice ass building and have this many problems

Not yet. Just ordered the rim and the spokes. Once they come in I'll take it in to get the hub laced in....

Not a chance in hell. The warranty is pretty much a joke unless the motor/trans blows...
