folding mounts is what I meant to say. bandi mount is perfect. I know that guy and have wheeled with him. He's local to me. He wheels like Ben does and always brings a smile to my face. :D

    no HD.

One of the guys I know stuck a removable wall anchor on his window and tucks his antenna up into it when he needs clearance.

I like my antenna a lot, but when I get my rear bumper I may be adding a fire stick antenna to free up my roof on road trips and incase I get a RTT.

Fred just get a 4 foot wilson flex antenna, your bambi mount thing, a normal stud, and the cable.

that washer has a small ridge in the center to keep it centered and from grounding out (hitting the side)

normal washer would work, but could blow up ur CB if you whack a tree

If my mount hits a tree and blows the CB, I've got bigger problems.

Also Fred, the reason I said 4 foot is because in order to get the best SWR, at least 2/3 of your antenna needs to be above the surface it's using to Tx/Rx off of (your ruuf.)

Whenever I had my 5ft firestick on my rear bumper, my SWR was at like 3:1 since it didn't have anything to transmit off of except the bedrails. Putting a wilson magnetic mount antenna on my ruuf my SWR was 1.1:1

Which is why you get a flexible antanna vs a rigid antenna with a spring. Same function, less parts.
