dude I got a 3' on my bumper and can still here Dalton 4 miles away... my shit sticks up past my cab maybe 4".

Tim is saying for optimal range.

For wheeling in a close group a 3' will be A-OK IMO.

Get the wilson superflex like Tim said. That's what I have, works great, no spring and it's made it through Boyd's hell hole several times on my from quarter panel.

It will be no more/less likely to whack anything than a stiff antenna with a spring. And as mentioned the less and simpler the parts you put between your antenna and CB the better.

Also, if you have a spot get a legit CB radio instead of that handheld thing. I can barely hear Josh on his and he has an ideal antenna setup.

why 18'??? Thats way to long. Less is more when talking cable. I have a 9' length of shielded cable and it makes it from my CB to my rear bumper and my trucks longer.

Go with good cable that's as short as possible and shielded.

    fuck that... I wouldn't either

    poor Craig.

I need to get out more. I have yet to see him wheel since his balls dropped

I haven't been around to hear him
