If that comes with all those switches that is a killer deal.

EDIT: Just looked that over and I think that is just for a carling switch to replace the ones in the panel. The actual panels run for over $100.

If they're anything like the ones i bought you wont have to worry about thay haha. I wanted mine to have a nice glow but theres just a bright yellow light in the square part that doesnt effect the lever part.

hey monte, so ur planning on a crawl box.... do u think a crawl box is as streetable as just regearing? im worried the gears will be too lowfor me on the street.... but the crawl box would be slick on the trail obviously. ur thoughts?

So you are meaning to drive around with the crawl box in low? Well they come in 2 gear ratios, 2.28 and 4.7. Your stock Tcase is already geared at 2.28 so it would be the same as driving every where in 4lo only you would be in 2wd obviously. If you went with the 4.7 it would be even slower. So I would say no it isn't streetable...

Personally I think regearing is more for driving on the freeway than anything, well and taking off from a stop with a manual. I don't think it affects crawling very significantly and even less if you get a crawlbox, but it helps a ton with driving at higher speeds. With my 33's and 3.73's my automatic would pretty much run in 4th at 75 on the freeway and now with the gears it will rarely shift out of 5th.

Yeah, but you are running anorexic tires that aren't that much taller than stock really.

Carl box is more street able. It's selectable so like your locker you can use it when you want.

Seeing as to how your already locked I see nothing wrong with just getting a crawl box instead of regearing.

However regearing will help bring back low end torque for just all around driving and it makes the load on the motor lighter.

    Personally I wouldn't waste money for a regear on 33s. 35s I would though.

But right now I'm happy with driving around on my 4.10s. The thing that kills me is the roof rack and all the drag it adds. Supercharger or turbo is going to be my fix for that.

So my future setup will be 4.88s gears, 35" tires, crawl box, FAI. 4.88s and 35s is supposed to be close to stock. But I want the lower rpms for hwy driving and the FAI will give me the power to keep it moving.

It's not the daily driving that'll kill the clutch so much as the crawling around :D haha

Yep what I'm going to do

I hope he isn't driving with it engaged haha

Autos are different too. I think it helps em much more the manuals.

And nothing a supercharger couldn't have fixed haha

Granted just getting gears is cheaper then a crawl box and FAI...but hey..pays to play

I think that is what Jace was getting at. Putting the crawl box in low to be like he re-geared.

Autos are higher geared than manuals since the torque converter works like an extra gear ratio when unlocked so they can produce more torque at the rear wheels than a manual. Because of this they can handle low diff gears without the RPM's going through the roof like the manuals. I think the biggest reason why autos seem to need to regear more often than manuals is because I think the computer gets tripped up from bigger tires and it starts to act kind of funny and shifts down to soon or when not necessary.
