Yeah skyway is pretty tame, you go more for the views and outdoors rather than actual offroading. But i reccomend everyone going atleast once, its really nice out there.

Well we worked hard to get the truck ready for the meet. Finished up the brakes, new brake lines, all new brake parts. The only part of the brake system that we didn't replace was the front calipers and the master cylinder.




Once we got it all together, I snapped some pics.




Figured we'd check the flex of the CO lift that's on it. Not to bad.





Then, I took it out for the first test drive to see how everything was working. I got about a mile from Bill's shop and was slowing down at a stop sign. As I was slowing, the front passenger caliper basically exploded, locking up the wheel, and destroying the aluminum wheel in the process.


All the new parts are, well, working like new parts should. The old parts, on the other hand, not doing so well. To this point, the price of the truck and the repairs together are still very cheap for what I have.


It's dissapointing that I can't make the meet tomorrow. But i'm happy that the caliper failed near Bill's shop vs in the middle of Skyway.

I'll be spending the evening searching for a reasonable priced set of wheels, because there is no way that i'll find a matching wheel.

One of the wheels has multiple cracks on the inside, so it's toast. I think i'm going to go with a thinner wheel. There are only 3 usable wheels, make me a reasonable offer on them and they are yours.

I hate not being able to go. But it's for the best. The truck needs a lot more work. Mostly minor stuff, but I won't have to rush it now.
