Woohoo for black v2w being delivered today per tracking! Simple quick swap since the silver one is currently installed. Pics of both forthcoming..............

 

Not super simple as you'll need to remove the V1 mounting plate and adhesive residue.

When doing so, apply GENTLE but constant downward pressure from one edge to the other - do NOT force the plate off too quickly as you might inadvertently break the OEM (or other) trim work. Also, make sure to remove ALL traces of the V1 adhesive before installing the V2W. We have found that rolling your fingertips accross the adhesive material with enough persistence usually does the trick. It might not be easy but, it will be worth the extra work. The main issue is fitment. We design with tight tolerances so having 'extra' adhesive isn't necessarily a good thing in this case.

 

Already have silver v2w installed. It came on an aftermarket silver double din stereo face I bought. I then bought just the v2w mounting plate and mounted it up on the black oem 6 disc now in the truck. (I know I know, the 6 discs come silver only but I took the black face and put the 6 disc control panel in it and put the silver buttons in too) The mounting plate coming with the black v2w from black Friday will be an extra in case I use it on the silver oem stereo I have if changing the dash back to silver for some reason. I have full silver and full black AC vent/stereo/clock/climate control setups so I can do one or the other or mix and match without painting anything. So when I get home today all I have to do is pull the silver v2w unit off the truck and slap the black v2w unit in it's place and have full black setup.

thank you for making my CUSTOM White halo and white flood LED bar. the dimmer resistors you put in were perfect. i never got a chance to post photos of it in the truck. They are so dim, that under normal street lighting at night you cant tell there's additional light down there, but on very dark roads, there is just a soft glow around the cup holders and shifter, its perfect...reminds me exactly what BMW Audi and Benz do... you guys rock!

Looks like this: but, the fly should be chrome-ish on a black V2W. PLEASE let me know if we somehow missed this. We'll gladly send one out to you.

Not sure which one I like best but it's hot swappable. I like the white as it matches my LED white dome light perfectly.

 

Tough decision! They both look great! IMHO

Drive in the dark every morning to work. I really like the amber lighting in the black case vs. the red that is in the silver case. The amber is more subtle and matches the rest of the oem lighting better. Kinda likin how the black case blends into the rest of the dash more too. Fit and finish top notch IMO. Daughter wants the fly sticker for her ride, lol.

 

The install went good. I take a little longer installing things, so I make sure I don't mess anything up. So it took me a little longer than the 20 mins somebody posted earlier. There wasn't any instructions sent to me, but I just went on your website and looked at the step by step process. Everything went smooth! The picture you sent showing the wires I needed to splice into was very helpful.
The quality is top notch IMO. You can tell this isn't something that is going to shatter if I accidently drop it, like some crap made in China.
No complaints with the fit and the finish is very attractive. I think somebody posted earlier that it looks like it was meant to be there and I echo that.
I went with the red and blue, because I couldn't decide between the two. The love the blue (my 9 yr old daughter commented on that as well). I wish the red was a little bit brighter, but I can live with it.

All in all Darren, I think you guys have an awesome product and I am glad I purchased it. I will post pictures later when I get a chance.

Thanks for the great feedback! We know the red is a little difficult to see when compared to any other color... I guess that's why some tactical guys are going with GREEN lasers vs. RED - visibility! At any rate, thanks very much for taking the time to post. We sincerely appreciate ALL of our supporters. Without you guys, we would NOT exist! So, THANKS VERY MUCH!!!

 

Just installed mine an hour ago, very nice product. Easy straight forward install everything went smooth, only thing that could have made it easier was to have another inch or two of wire but this was probably just for me. I have rcbs illuminated 4x4 switch so i already had 2 wires crimped so i had to place the 2 on the flyzeye alittle farther back.... Other then that 10 out of 10. Great job Darren
