But they're using less fossil fuel to produce it. So while you're experiencing a MPG loss, you're actually burning less fossil fuel per mile.

I understand that but tell that to my pocket. And I'm sure every other red blooded American out there cares as much as I do about saving a buck.

As far as the earth is concerned, I once saw a really good take on the earth by George Carlin about it.

Nice to know that is the only reason you listen to what I have to say...:smack: lmao (just playin)

    Correct!!!

Again, remember we are paying MUCH less than most of the other countries out there for our gasoline. How would you like to be paying $15 per gallon? lol. I am just as red-blooded American as the next guy, and I hate paying what we have to now, but I also realize we are lucky to only be paying what we do. It could be a hell of a lot worse. Hell, I remember paying $.89 per gallon!

Except for the corn shortage.. and the fact that brazil has massive deforestation issues from needing the sugar cane which is more efficient than corn even.

Do you happen to have any legitimate documentation supporting such a claim?

So the qualifier is legitimate? So I post something you don't agree with and you'll disclaim the source? I assume wikipedia isn't allowed for this college level assignment? lol I'd like to point out that in all of your posts in this thread, you've yet to back one single claim or comment you've made.

Prof. Luiz Martinelli, ecology, University of São Paulo in Brazil, presented his assessment of Brazilian biofuels on Friday.
In 2008, he published a divisive article in the journal, “Ecological Applications.”

Growers spread the vinasse liquid back on their crop as a fertilizer. The nutrient content makes vinasse a good fertilizer.
However, this nutrient content pollutes the streams and rivers near the sugarcane mills. The increased nitrogen and organic carbon in the vinasse kills fish and disrupts aquatic systems. Mill owners claim vinasse management isn’t a problem, Martinelli pointed out, “Accidents do happen because you are transporting large amount of vinasse.

"We don’t have much room for deforestation. If sugarcane causes 1,000 of squared kilometers of deforestation, we’ve set off any savings [of avoided carbon emissions] that we have saved,” emphasized Martinelli.

Corn shortage forces farmers to feed cattle candy
Cattle farmers struggling with record corn prices are feeding their cows candy instead.
That's right, candy. Cows are being fed chocolate bars, gummy worms, ice cream sprinkles, marshmallows, bits of hard candy and even powdered hot chocolate mix, according to cattle farmers, bovine nutritionists and commodities dealers.
"It has been a practice going on for decades and is a very good way to for producers to reduce feed cost, and to provide less expensive food for consumers," said Ki Fanning, a livestock nutritionist with Great Plains Livestock Consulting, Inc. in Eagle, Neb.

Lol, oh yeah I guess you could define that cleaning. Technically though cleaning anything is maintenance if you really want to get technical. In the case of this video you are just fooling around and wasting if you really think this will fix anything.

Calm down sir, I simply asked for legitimate documentation. Wanted to make sure that what you were saying was not something that "Your friend who has a friend in Brazil once told me" type of claim. While there does seem to be some good support of what you had first said, I still think that their idea of reducing their fuel costs and oil dependence was a good step. Obviously they may need to look at their process a bit better. I am not sure how harsh Brazil government is as far as their pollutants go.

since what he is doing is not a way to "fix" a dirty cat, the only thing on the market that would be a 50/50 shot at "cleaning a cat" would be sea foam or guarenteed to pass....but once a a cat starts to break down and fall apart there is NO fix

Or, for sake of running a little cleaner burning if you would like to give it a shot you could always run some denatured alcohol in there as well... (essentially what is ethanol) It's expensive to pick up from home depot or somewhere similar but it's supposed to lower all emissions across the board substantially.

If it's melted you can't fix it. But, you can acid wash it if you are having a P420 code, maybe it is just "smoke"...I did it, excellent results ...!

If a cconverter is bad a converter is bad. Point blank period. There is no way around it and any attempt to "clean" it is an utter waste of time.
