yeah i know. thats why i’m thinking #1, but now idk if it will fit. crutchfield says that a fold down face wont work with the tacoma. and #1, says it’s a “ 6.95" motorized touchscreen with multi-angle adjustments” so now i’m

I got the pioneer one with the DVD/ cd opening on the face with the controls to the side and love it for long trips. I have a 3 year old son who watches DVD while we drive from it. Blue tooth is great and pandora is rocking with my iPhone.

First thing I bought for my truck was a HU. (parents made me get NAV) I got a $1300 Kenwood and I hate the damn thing. Especially the dash kit I got, might have been the Metra. It doesn't even fit in the dash kit that well and every bump I hit it shakes like hell. The NAV is decent but somethin with the memory freaked out on me every once in a while and wouldn't let me use the NAV. Also, its very slow on start up and switching from task to task. What I really liked about it was it shows the speed limit on the NAV screen and it tells the speed you're going right next to it. So I can look at the actual speed I'm going after my 33's since my speedo is off.

The metra dash kit is garbage!!!! When I got my kenwood from crutch field that's the kit they sent me, and it's shit. Darren saw my post and hit me up and shipped me a scosche kit for free and it works like a champ!

before you go with crutchfield (if thats who you are actually buying from) you may wanna check around locally. i found before that crutchfield was higher in the end and local service is always better imo.
i have the factory upgrade haven't needed to upgrade but on older vehicles i found great deals at local stereo installers and even found factory upgrades at cheap prices there.
the hardest thing is the mounting bracket, finding one that fits both the truck and HU just the right way.

i’m not getting NAV. but i could later on. one of the units i was looking at has a nav thing you can buy.
i hope i don’t get the metra dash kit.
i have only best buy has them. and you don’t get any warranty with it, and don’t get the wiring you need or trim kit.

You'll have to order the dash kit on your own. And I went to best buy, they ordered everything I needed except the dash kit and I bought it when they had a free install with purchase thing going on. So I got it installed for free.

dash kits come with on crutchfield. and best buy it’s like $80 or $100 for install. i’m not paying that. will do it my self or my brother knows the guy that does installs at best buy, may have him do it on the side.
yeah. i like the 2 a lot. but don’t like that there is not a cd/dvd player.
