The way my seatbelt never retracts like it's supposed to. Gets twisted up and caught between the door and seat. Then I close the door on it. I'd rather have the seatbelts built into the seats like my Chevy had.

While I can 2nd a lot of these short comings and wish lists for my 2012 Taco the 2 things that stuck out like a sore thumb and bothered me from day 1 is the stereo is nowhere NEAR as loud as it should be and the air conditioning vents on the front of the dash dont move far enough in any direction. Mainly the drivers air vent on the right (right behind the wiper controll stick). 90% of the time I HATE to have a vent blowing right on me (only when I'm seriously hot). Most of the time I like to have the vents blowing away from me to cool the air around me, I feel much more comfortable this way.

    OK Ima stop rambling now.

    +1

The center console / cup holder arrangement...if set deeper they wouldn't get in the way of shifting when at the same time I feel like a Super Gladiator Smoothie and my 40oz Water Jug.

...and MPG could be better. 20-24 is all I'm really asking...but there's no limit to what I'll take.

I believe FoMoCo owns the patent on the keypad and won't license the rights of use to other manufactures...or you'd see it on every new vehicle.

I had the keypad on a couple Ford trucks I've owned...very nice feature.

x2. i don’t see the point in rear disk brakes on a truck. drums stop better especially when hauling a heavy load or towing a lot.

Like some have said: No lighting in bed, "A" pillar to thick, better MPG , center console is cavernous (needs organizer). Some of these I am in the process of changing. Don't think I'll have much luck with the pillar. :D

All said and done it's an awesome truck.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Honestly I am welcome to these things, hard to find a truck in this day and age with actual traits of a work truck from old. They were never designed to be cozy grocery getters in the beginning. Most trucks today are as plush as a Lincoln compared to the way they were back in the day.

4WD, too? Typically, it's a ridiculous thought to expect a 4WD to get 20MPG but with our technology today...there's no excuse. C'mon
