I prefer the M&P because i shoot better with it.

    Reasons I like it:
    Low bore axis
    Better sights
    easily worked trigger
    Cheaper mags
    Simpler design
    Ergonomic grip (big/med/small grip options)
    Suppresses better

Hammer fired guns suppress like shit. Its unfortunate, but the firing pin channel spits carbon/oil/crap back in your face/eyes.

I hate guns with safeties. My M&P doesnt have a safety. Its a grip and rip model, so i like that. Im a huge proponent of knowing what condition your gun is in.

Its faster on the draw, easier to line up, fits my hand nicer, isnt nearly as tall, recoils less, and doesnt have the texture of sandpaper on the grip (the FN stippling sucks a bag of dicks. The stippling is razor sharp pyramids, so after a couple mags, your hand is pretty raw and torn up by razor sharp fucking plastic needles.)

The FN was a impulse buy a few weeks ago. I've already got someone at my local range who is interested in it, so i might be able to unload it this weekend.

Damn, I have an FFL with an SSE barrel. Too bad I'm not heading to phoenix soon. I would have to ship to ffl, sse, and pay DROS too. So it would end up over 700 for a used polymer 9

You did it, you shot the G19. I made the same mistake a couple months ago and ended up buying a G19 shortly afterwards. In my opinion if you can keep your booger hook off of the trigger when your not shooting, the G19 is the best compact 9mm ever made. Its like when they shrunk it down for compact duty they made it the perfect blend between controllability due the fact its not a sub compact but its small enough and the round recoils so little that you can almost muscle the bullets on target.

The glocks just do not naturally point for me. Great guns my wife runs out great but the different angled grip versus what I've been shooting for a duty gun for the past 10 years (sig p229) do not help. Shooter issue not firearm. Definitely a better choice that you made in my opinion.

I shoot my XD9 much better than my g19, and prefer the XD trigger. Problem is that my XD is old and was made before they started meloniting the slide, so it starts to rust if you look at it wrong. So, I carry the G19 and the XD with a TLR on it is a house gun.

I owned a G17 and it was my first hand gun. I hated it, so I bought an HK USPC in 40S&W and thought I was in shooting nirvana. Shot some plates and it was a draw between which gun I was faster with. Traded off the glock. Ended up with a XD in 357 sig and while it was accurate it was still a toss up between the USPC and the XD as far as concealability, weight, and speed on target. XD was not quite as accurate as the USP. It was a great gun but not quite up to the level of the USP. Sold the XD to buy my AK, a couple months later I ended up with a HK45, better gun than the USP and everything else I shot before, big caliber, smooth, a bit faster on target than all the guns prior, it is huge though and hard to conceal and only has ten rounds.

Shooting my HK45 at a forum shoot a while back this hot chick wanted to shoot my 45. Of course I let her and of course it was more than a handful for her to handle. It was just too big :D. Well she let me shoot her G19 while she is shooting my stuff. I was on those plates faster than anything I had ever shot before. It was like I was will powering my bullets on target, almost like I was a Jedi Knight suddenly in tune with the force. I even think I made the chick on my 45 gush a little because she was like  But I hate Glocks this can't be right, there is no way I was this accurate with the G19, but damn it felt good in my hand and for some reason the trigger felt closer to a 1911 trigger than anything I had shot, very nice solid second stage you can rest your finger on. I had to get a G19, I did and all my range outing with it since have been confirmation on what I felt that day. The G19 is a damn good pistol and when you take price into account, it is an AWESOME pistol. Greater than the sum of its parts.

Glad you found a good fitting gun for you. Still just doesn't do it for me. I'm way faster (and accurate) with my SW1911 semi custom, even with my duty sig 229 in 357sig. They just come right up on target where with the grip angle of the glock I have to search for that sight alignment. Like I said. Great gun, good stock trigger etc. just doesn't fit me. I think I'm goin to get a M&P45 to back up my 1911 in case that goes down while teaching a class. Easier to have 2 guns with 1 caliber then 2 guns in 2 caliber when traveling.
