    Good morning,
Figured I would kill "2" birds with one stone..
I will try not make it a novel...ha,ha..

    Downsouth Motorsports Group Buy Feeler's:
I just had a member PM me about the Group Buy feeler for the King Group Buy and asked if we were going to do it? I said that no one seemed to express much interest in it and that we would honor the Group Buy pricing for him that we were going to use for the GB and to let me know in a PM what he was looking for.We figured there may not have been to much interest in it due to the timing,Thanksgiving and Christmas coming and all.
    Then I thought:
Why is it that it seems that some Group buys are a hit and some are not? Is it pricing or timing or maybe we are not doing something correctly when we are presenting a group buy feeler?
So here is what I propose:
#1) Let us know what you would like to do a GB on and we can go from there and see what you as members would like to do..Or maybe have a GB on something every 2 to 3 months or quarter.I think we had talked about this before when Marco was with us, but I am not sure.
No GB's on Bilstein...Bilstein had a price increase to RCD and we we have not raised the price yet, but we are going to after the New Year!
Also if a seasoned TW member wants to put together a GB through us for King or ICON or Radflo or Fox or OME or whatever let us know.We are more then willing to work with you guys and make it work for everyone.
Also the person that decided to orchestrate the GB we would look at giving that person a one time discount on the GB for doing all of the leg work and fielding any questions that may come up.Granted somethings we can can discount more then others and the discount would be based on the GB product..
    Suggestions or ideas?

ICON Coil-overs and any replacement OE coil-over for that matter:

    #1) ICON first:
We have been working with ICON on changing the low speed valving to have it be a little softer on the street for the "Mall Crawler" guys, (As long as you do not crank the crap out of the coil-over) and seem to have it nailed down. This came up about a year ago with Chris 4x4 (Good morning Chris) and he said that has made a difference on the street and still worked well for his trail driving. The reason I bring this up is because if you are worried about the street ride (Which seems to come up when someone mentions ICON and digressive valving) and are only going to be doing mild trail driving, just let us know that at the time of your order and we can send you the light low speed valving version. We have our own part # for this version and we stock them for the 05-Current Tacoma 6-lug in the IFP version extended travel.

    #2) OE Coil-overs:
We get this all the time, almost everyday..
The replacement OE coil-over says it will give me 3" of lift, you are correct and the more you crank up the coil-over the more you will start to loose some of the ride quality. But I want to fit a specific size tire and my buddy is running it. Cool...but just know that an OE replacement coil-over shock ( No matter what the brand) was designed more for ride quality and performance rather than ride height.
Also you need to have a little bit of droop travel, when you go over a speed bump and it makes a clucking sound, that is most commonly a noise associated with having the coil-over cranked up to high and the shock is topping out..I hate when that happens...ha,ha..
So long story short, do not crank the crap out of your OE replacement coil-over shocks and complain about the ride quality or a possible clucking noise..

Yes it ended up being a novel and sorry about that...:)
So enjoy your Sunday and let us know if you have any questions..
Thank you for your time and continued support..
    Sonny

I need a sponsorship for 2013. I do retrieval for SNORE and BITD. My current 5100 setup isn't cutting it. I need to get on course, to the vehicle needing assistance, and back out as fast as possible.

We are not doing any sponsorships, but PM us for what you are thinking as far as set up and brand and we can go from there.

I would be interested in some Nitrochargers with 885/886's. Maybe a set of ICONS with 700# coils...
