Well really you'll want dual lockers for a crawlbox as well. Without lockers you have to pre-runner obstacles thats locked rigs don't and crawlboxes dont pre-run very well... so I don't see a crawlbox being very helpful without lockers.

I think what he is trying to say is that you gotta pick what your truck will benefit from the most.

i disagree. If you have good suspension then a crawl box will let you take things slower and it'll help put the power down in a more usable fashion. Only to a certain extent though yes. Me its not gonna help THAT much. But it would help. Jace it would cause he has one locker already.

I think hells gate would be a struggle without a locker and no crawlbox. I think it's a struggle with no crawl box but alvin and jace made it look easy. I think open/open would be fine with a crawl box.

and if you meant me Tacoman... that's mostly what I was going for. Do what's most cost effective and beneficial to you. Everyone has different priorities and set ups.

I don't know enough about 1st gens and gearing to say too much but for me 4.56s with 35s made on street driving LOADS better. I did all sorts of wheeling though with 3.73s and 35s. If they're good on 33s with the stock gears, awesome. I wouldn't waste money.

Silas would do pretty good without lockers with a crawlbox, but he has crazy amounts of travel in the rear now:drool: Plus it's probably cheaper to just regear and get lockers than to try to achieve that kind of travel front and rear. haha

regearing on 35s is a must. 33s..eh..i don't have any issues. I wouldn't mind a lower 1st gear..but a crawl box will be my answer to that. ill go with 4.88s on 35s to keep it still quite streetable.

idk..i don't think he paid much for his rear setup lol his front travel will still limit him tho  but its still sick as hell.

Im hoping that will my current rear setup and longer shocks ill gain about 1-2'' more droop then with LT front and lockers F/R and the crawl box..ill be able to do anything i ever what to run..haha

I would almost consider putting some sort of pad underneath them to keep them from rattling and so if the truck gets jolted real hard hey wont be damaged.

Yea, as long as they're strapped down tight and you have any kind of suspension (i know you do) you oughta be golden.
