13 points for my Brees start. Not bad but he routinely hits 30 plus in my system..25 yds/pt, 2 points at 10 comps, 3 more at 20 comps..minus 1 per pick.

What really sucked is Roddy White..1 catch, 20 yds, 2 pts. Grr..

Fortunately I have the div locked up with a 1 game lead and the 2nd place guy lost to me both times. Guess if there's an egg to be laid, better now than playoffs.

Fixed it for you. Hard to do it the other way around. Story says he killed his girlfriend then went to the Chiefs facility and killed himself.

Brees has killed us the past 2 games. I hope this is temp and not one of those "got paid who gives a shit" situations. He needs to stop making all them damn commercials.

I got a tough pick this week in Survivor football.

    My options are as follows:

Jacksonville at Buffalo-Buffalo is favored by 6 but Jacksonville seems to play better every week with Henne at the helm. Their running game is in trouble with both MJD and Parmele out. My first choice was Buffalo.

Indy at Detroit-Detroit is favored by 5. They have had extra time to rest and reflect on the lost to Houston that shouldn't have been. Indy is a strong team but they are still trying to find a running game to complement the passing attack. My second choice was Detroit.

Now, here is my crazy pick: Arizona at NY Jets-I will say this right now. I hate the Jets. I think they get way more attention for being a sub par team with a bunch of individual players who don't know how to play as a team and a coach that likes to hear himself talk. The Jets got embarrassed on Turkey day. They have had some extra time to work on some issues and reflect on the beating they took in their own house. They are playing a team that is flying across the country to play outdoors and is down to their third string QB. Jets are favored by 4 in this one but I think it might be the safest pick.

    Any thoughts?

That's some crazy shit. Apparently he blew his brains out right in front of Crennel!

Kansas City, MO - Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher killed himself Saturday morning at the team’s facility, moments after allegedly killing his girlfriend.

    Belcher was 25 years old.

According to Kansas City police, Belcher shot his girlfriend multiple times after the two had been engaged in an argument at home. She was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Minutes after the first shooting, police said, Belcher drove to the Chiefs’ training facility at Arrowhead Stadium and spoke with team personnel, including head coach Romeo Crennel and general manager Scott Pioli, before taking his own life with a gunshot.

“When officers arrived (at Arrowhead Stadium), they observed a black male who had a gun to his head and he was talking to a couple of coaches out in the parking lot,” police spokesman Darrin Snapp told reporters outside Arrowhead Stadium. “As officers pulled up and began to park, that’s when they heard the gunshot and it appears the individual took his own life.”

A report from the Kansas City Star said Belcher and his girlfriend had a daughter, who was only a few months old.

“The entire Chiefs family is deeply saddened by today’s events, and our collective hearts are heavy with sympathy, thoughts and prayers for the families and friends affected by this unthinkable tragedy,” said Chiefs owner Clark Hunt in a statement. “We sincerely appreciate the expressions of sympathy and support we have received from so many in the Kansas City and NFL communities, and ask for continued prayers for the loved ones of those impacted.”

Belcher was in his fourth year with the Chiefs after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Maine. He started 10 of the 11 games he had played this season, registered 38 tackles.

The Chiefs are scheduled to play Carolina on Sunday, but there has been no official word from the team or the NFL about the status of the game.

What an incredibly selfish act. You have a newborn daughter and you do something like that? Unbelievable.

    +1 billion

If you are going to take your life don't take someone with you whether it be by murder or emotional distress. Not only is a child parent less but there are three others that witnessed this tragedy first hand that will be emotionally scarred for life.

Niner's got screwed on the intentional grounding call. Ball went past the LOS out of bounds (which counts, until the ball hits the ground). They need some damn offense.

I swear, if this game ends in a fucking tie again I am going to throw my remote through my tv (the one in the garage I don't actually use since it is cheap and old).

Why am I not surprised? Kap made a huge mistake earlier. They gave STL 2 points that weren't deserved. Akers looked HORRIBLE today.

The Rams now have 4 wins and they all came within the division if that tells you something.

I made a ballsy pick today and took the Jets. Luckily it paid off. Great thing is two people took SF and one person took Detroit. The pool I am in is now down to four. One person took Baltimore but I don't expect the Ravens to lose so four of us onto next week.
