Mason looked sharp when he got the chance to play last year. Strong arm and accurate. Of course that was against cream puffs though. And we are supposed to have something like a top 6 in the nation QB coming in this year. Can't remember his name though.

I would actually be ok with this. They were showing stats about the heisman Nd Johnny Football has accounted for more yards than both Cam and Tebow when they won. I hope he wins it, and I always cheer for SEC in bowl games...

If you don't want any of that young talent, we will gladly have them start in Starkville over our 2 star experienced "talent" that is starting now.

Here is my take. And please take this with all respect.

Bit NIU and Louisville both did their jobs and won their conference. They did what they were told to do. Win and be ranked in the top 16. They did that. They deserve a trip.

Now while everyone else will be prepping for their bowl games my team is in the off season. It blows. But with 8 PAC teams bowling we are bring home a LOT of cash

Bowl games have always been lame. Every conf winner plays in a tourny. The rest get to study for finals. Bowl games are like giving trophies to losers. Everybody can win!

I don't think FSU should be excluded completely...MAYBE from the BCS but not from the bowl games entirely

    Clemson either

I won't even begin to argue that the ACC is a decent conference because I know it's not...and I'm not happy with the commissioner, the competition...etc BUT it is in fact a major conference with bowl tie ins

I think at this point, we have far too many bowls and we should trim it down and require teams have 8+ wins to go bowling (if not more wins)...Both FSU and Clemson have only 2 losses...with both of Clemson's coming to current top 12 teams

i'm actually rather disappointed that Clemson couldn't sneak into the BCS and right the shellacking we took last year

With that being said, I think the LSU/Clemson matchup is actually one of the more interesting bowl matchups this season

I like most of the bowl games as they can give the best matchups of the season, and they allow growing programs to continue to grow. Also, it is tradition. Bowl Games are unique to College Football and I think even with a 4 team playoff, and then later maybe an 8 team playoff (not by your conference champion idea because than 8-5 Wisconsin gets in and they have yet to show they belong in the top 25) that the bowls should stay.
Matchups like this is why bowls are great.

    Not next year... 2014.

From what I understand, the selection committee would seed the teams, and there's no way they'd do so in a way that would allow an all-SEC (or any other conference) title game. One of the play-in games would be UA/FL so that the title game couldn't be.

    derp

This post is why I love this guy. Really hated him in 2008 (when the first NCAA thread started), but since then I've "gotten it."

Forever, defensive players have been told to get big hits when they can after an interception. Doesn't make it right.

They should have thrown a flag b/c of helmet to helmet, but aside from that, I don't have a problem w/ the block. Even if a flag was thrown, Alabama probably could have still gotten a field goal, which is all that happened before the half anyway. (I'll save my comments on our clock management for another time.)

Several people (not on here, necessarily) had a big problem w/ the hit, saying that UGA had just been flagged for a late hit on McCarron and Murray was hit after the play was over. To those fans I say: There's a difference between hitting a QB late, and blocking a player during an interception. The runner was not yet down, so the play was not over. If people have a beef w/ helmet to helmet, that's fine. I can't disagree. But to say it's a late hit or 'roughing the passer' is just crap.

You can't Murray's face in the gif... I took this picture while watching the game. I can imagine what's going through his head...

These are some really bad bowl matchups. The NC and fiesta are the only two I see not being a blowout. IMO Cotton>>>>>> sugar, orange and rose. It kind of makes me happy we didn't get a BCS at least we got a good team to play.

I noticed that too when watching the game. It made me laugh but I really can't blame him I would have crapped my pants.
