Haha I've been avoiding it as my two front tires are white letters and 2 rears are black..I got a really good deal on the kevlars at work and couldn't pass it up..and by good deal i mean really really sweet deal..I was going to sell them but I would feel a bit guilty doing that as I think they new how much i like my truck making it a better deal..otherwise I would have gotten Generals or Hankooks instead.. I believe there is a white wall stainer somewhere..i just have to go pick some up.

I like the way you think man. However, something better about Icon is that they now make a matching 2.5 shock for the rear but maybe thats over kill anyway.

I decided to build my own armor all around so this is the start of it.. I figured the rear bumper would be the easiest to do first.

its not finished..a lot will be added to it including uprights for the swing gate and tubing for the shackle mounts..

As for the truck I recently had too much fun and broke the spider gears in the 3rd member...TIME FOR A LOCKER AND 4:56 GEARS!!! ..i decided to go with a full detroit locker and supreme gears and hope to have the truck back together by the end of this week.

    Pics of the damage:

Why? just to be different haha..but i like it and I hope it holds up. (seems very strong but we'll see as soon as I hit some sharp rocks and trees :D.. So far just the front fenders, grill surround, and armor are line xed

Also changed the lenses on my retrofit headlights and sealed them up right this time! Decided to paint some lids on there too.

Trial and error my friend. Im hoping around January I'm gunna start making bumpers right now I'm gunna think of a couple designs that are bolt on. Then welding them up and see if they hold up. I really like the hybrid style bumpers of plate and PRERUNNER similiar to what you have

I'm with you on the hybrid style 100% for front bumpers. So far I've had to push one tree (about a 4" diameter) out of the way on a narrow trail and it did it's job there, just wish there was higher strong point to bolt the bumper to.

Your only other option is to cut the bottom part section were the factory points are and welding it straight to the frame. But I like the bolt on better. And got more pics of the winch mount how did you mount it on there?

This should help.. just a winch plate welded on both sides of the mounting plate and to the tubes and front plate, also 30/60* 1.75" tube was added where the license plate is for extra support

Detroit is absolutely awesome man, makes a huge difference off road as I hardly need 4x4 anymore if I go up a good line..especially noticed it in sand. I'd say everyone should get one of these as they're easier to tame than everyone else says on the forum..glad I tried it for myself bc it seems like most guys that talk about them don't have one. If you want to notice it's there all you have to do is push hard on the skinny pedal but normal driving is fine. Even in the rain it does't lock up if you're driving smart. Of course I wouldn't recommend it on icy roads but other than that you won't regret it.

Added some waterproof work lights above the winch and under the hood. Still waiting on my factor 55 Thimble before I put the winch line on.

even with all your off-road mods, have one question regarding how you attached that rubber mat to the tailgate? did you drill new holes, or use longer fasteners in the oem points, or both? you're right, climbing in and out of the bed can be hard on the knees, lol :D

I drilled new holes on one side and used factory on the other. The reason being is it was all that was left of the rubber roll and it was just enough to cover up the part that isn't flat on the Tailgate. It looked fine and worked till I got rid of it all together with the tire gate.

Sick truck dude! How are those Expo leafs? I'm currently debating between those and the standard pack, I will have a full size spare in the bed at all times, and then maybe some other stuff when I go wheeling. I'm just not sure how much more lift they give and if it is a worse ride if I don't always have 200+ lbs extra
