ya sounds good. i only got 4 tires. my stock spare was good. and i only went from 265/70 to 265/75. so like one inch. thats not going to look bad or mess with handling if i have to drive around for a few days or week with a spare tire on.

now the spar is a rugged fail. lol. but i don’t see me getting a flat. unless i run over a nail or something. also i’m running load range E and not a passenger tire. i could have got range C or D but discount tire was out of the D ranch and the tire only came in D and E range.

 

Mine will probably be c rated because there's no reason to go higher.

 

yeah C is a good rating for our trucks.


i did notice handling improved with the nittos. like cornering and all it fills a lot better. i guess because the side wall is thicker and stiffer than the stupid rugged fails.

 

Yep. But handling isn't exactly my trucks strong point to begin with...I was headed out to go hunting yesterday morning, and I was on a somewhat Dewey back road, and as I came around a turn I ended up facing the opposite way after my back end decided it wanted to be the front...I need new tires...

 

What tires and lift you getting Cory?

 

i'm probably gonna be putting bilstien 5100's on all 4 corners, and an AAL out back. as for tires, i'm not sure yet. my dad's always liked his BFG's, but we're still gonna look at prices, lifetime, stuff like that. my dad had an old lifted toyota when he was a kid, so this is kinda a fun thing for him too, and we're gonna work on it together.

 

Yup. The feds nosing in everywhere. I think the rule is all 2008 and newer vehicles must have TPMS.

Also, I've heard that some shops still try to rip people off with the sensors. If price seems too high, check a 2nd shop to make sure prices are comparable.

That's awesome man, wish my dad would do stuff like that with me more. He hates talking cars with me so that's why I'm on TW so much haha. My top 3 favorite A/T tires are the Nitto terra grapplers, BFG TA/KO, and the Hankook Dynapro's.


Been sick all weekend and I took the day off from school but I might be heading over to my cousin's house that passed away not too long ago. Mom's gonna look at putting the house on the market and I'll be in the garage haha. Only met him once I think years ago but he's got a '69 Z28 Camaro, '39 roadster, '63 corvette hard top convertible, and an '04 silverado 1500 Z71

but as for tires, i have no idea what i'm gonna put on yet. i'm gonna keep the stock 15's for now, because really, that's another several hundred i would have to spend on 5 new (or used) 16's. i wouldn't go 17 inch because i think they look too big on the first gens. i'm probably gonna paint these wheels black, and then in a few years, if i still have the truck and want to put more money into it, i might get a set of 16s.

 

Who's black TRD sport is this? Wet okole's, bronze beadlocks, brush guard... Freaking badass!

That thing was beautiful. 3" lift, his wet okole's were sick, they had a red TRD stitched into the headrests. Full size spare in the bed if the truck... I was drooling!!!
